1. Good News: Where the Intel is Good
- Proud to be an American:
https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/2025609872046252188
- Scouting America (e.g., Boy Scouts of America and Girls Scouts
of America) has officially ended its wokeness, following demands
from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. No more gender insanity, "social
justice" badge, etc. They are even waiving fees for children of
active duty service members.
- Starbucks has fled Washington State for a free state
(Tennessee). Yes, this is the same Starbucks that did the pronoun
thing. They have come to their senses, something that happens when
"go woke, go broke" shows up in the financial statements. As a
consequence of coming to their senses, they are also fleeing this
very blue state. This flight from communism is draining the "blue"
states of their tax base, and yet they double down on Marxist
policies. Talk about stupid. The really great news here is those who
flee are not bringing Marxism to the free states, they are joining
in the fight against communism. The wealthy who fled have not only
stopped donating to "Democrat" causes, but are now donating to
Republican ones.
- The "Assahola" of Iran is no longer in power. As Senator
John Kennedy said, "May he rest in pieces." Yet another bad guy
taken out, albeit more violently than Maduro was. Are you are
seeing the pattern?
- Some people wonder why we haven't taken out Mr. Putin, Xi
Jinping, and Nancy Pelosi. The situation with these three is very
different. Yes, Pelosi is a straight-up criminal like Maduro but she
has not subjugated an entire country while saying if she obtains a
nuclear arsenal she will wipe Israel out of existence. You can see
there is a very short list of bad actors who may get the same
treatment, particularly the "leaders" of North Korea and Cuba. NK
because of a nuclear threat (he is really on thin ice with ice) and
Cuba because of its proximity to the free state of Florida.
- Regarding Nutcase Nancy, she would stand no chance if indicted
for even half the felonies she has committed. Just the RICO charges
alone would put her away for the rest of her toxic life. There would
be no public outcry in her defense. Except among the whackos in
Transfrancisco, she is deeply unpopular. It wasn't that long ago she
was booed off the stage in the liberal la la land of New York. Of
all places!
- So why has Nutcase not been arrested? For one thing, there are
so many younger criminals to stop while Nutcase is a has been. She
has been living high off decades of insider trading and bribery, but
is not a future threat. Resources are limited. So the priority for
prosecution must be on stopping those who still have potential for
massive damage.
AOC self-destructed in Europe and is finished. The Cackler
self-destructed in her laughable Presidential run in 2024 so she is
finished. Ilhan Omar keeps providing more and more evidence against
herself, so that will allowed to run for a while. Then you have
morons like Alex Padilla. Just because certain criminals are loud
and obnoxious doesn't mean they are enough of a threat to indict.
The energy will be saved for those who are particularly dangerous to
the Republic. My guess it will a few at the top tiers of the fraud
cartels, which JD Vance is now in charge of ending. If you indict a
few of those, it will be tantamount to cutting off the head of the
hydra.
- If this "particularly dangerous" theory is true, why the
attention on the Clintons and the Obamas? Because exposing their
crimes without the white washing and cover of the legacy media will
take the legs out from the communist party while also instilling
fear in those aforementioned hydra head folks. That is a strategic
play, not a tactical one. The smarter criminals will exit like rats
jump a sinking ship, leaving only the morons behind. And then it
will be much easier to mop up the moron morass.
- The communists have already ceded the 2028 Presidential
Election. They realize there is no hope. Trump has done an amazing
job in his first year and has three years to go to rack up a record
that even the lying commies and their lying lamestream media can't
convince anyone with a measurable IQ is not awesome. The Republicans
have a deep bench, with at least half a dozen choices that are A+.
What are the commies bringing? AOC! Last month, she totally
embarrassed herself in Europe with her word salads and non-answers.
So the strategy is to rope-a-dope with yet another dope. And then
hope that by 2032 they can recruit an intelligent libtard to
challenge a strong incumbent. The thing is, there's no such thing as
an intelligent libtard. The decades-long reliance on election
cheating, gas lighting, and censorship won't carry them through this
time. We are getting stronger election laws (e.g., the SAVE Act),
the Covid scam woke up millions of people to stop accepting BS as
truth, and the alternate media are rising while the legacy media are
dying.
- Jasmine Crockett lost the "Democrat" Senate primary to a
moderate Christian Democrat. To run for the Senate, she had to not
run for her existing House seat. Which means she will no longer
taint the House with her lies, deceit, and theater when the new
Congress convenes. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
- As reported in Coffee & Covid, "California loses a taxpayer
every minute and 44 seconds. New York loses one every 2 minutes and
23 seconds. At the same time, welfare people are moving in. Over the
past decade, New York shed $111 billion in adjusted gross income to
other states. California lost $102 billion. Illinois lost $63
billion. The Daily Economy, late last year."
- NASA changed the orbit of an asteroid, on 06MAR. This means they
could potentially prevent an asteroid from slamming into the earth.
Remember the Great Extinction that wiped out the dinosaurs? We
certainly don't want another asteroid hit like that, it might leave
behind only cockroaches and communists. Ah, but I repeat myself.

SCOTUS
The SCOTUS struck down New York's race-based redistricting
scheme, 9 to 3. Can you can guess who the three dissenters are? Of course, the
senile Sotomayer and the libtard Kagan usually get things wrong. It's no
surprise that Ketanji Brown, a grossly underqualified DEI appointee, also got it
wrong. Similar math on a child abuse case originating in the People's Republic
of California (you can no longer "transition" a child behind the parents' back).
We may be seeing 6 to 3 for a while:
-
Senile Sotomayer may step down soon, due to her obvious mental
impairment. But observers have been saying that for several years now.
-
Unfortunately, Kagan is 65 and still has some tread on her tires;
she is a low-information moron, but she is not senile.
-
Ketanji Brown is 55, so she might afflict the Court with her
nonsensical questions, idiotic dissents, and irrationality for another 25 to 30 years.
Justice Clarence Thomas, one of the finest legal minds to ever
serve on the court, is now 74. The average American man is dead at 75. So
President Trump or his successor will likely appoint replacements for Thomas and
Sotomayer some time in the next seven years. Filling the shoes of an
intellectual giant like Thomas is no small task, and it is
unlikely to be accomplished. But they can easily find someone who understands
our Constitution and respects it, and who can correctly interpret the law. Pam Bondi, for instance. If Sotomayer were to resign today due to her obvious
dementia, that would rule out Bondi who is perhaps the best AG of all time and
needed presently right where she is. But three or four years from now, when
Thomas might take a well-deserved retirement?
Also note that the communists are self-destructing their way to
the November mid-terms; for them to become a distinct minority in the Senate,
Republican voters just need to show up on Election Day and vote. When the new
Senate convenes next year, confirming a Trump nominee will be relatively
painless. Right now, not so much.
Some speculate that President Trump might do a Taft after his
term and serve on
the SCOTUS. I doubt he would do that, it's not his style. Besides, he is 79
years old now and after his heroic and historic second term he should take a
well-deserved retirement.
Presently the SCOTUS is in good shape, despite having three libtards (one
of whom is demented) on it. That makes the Court a panel of six, rather than a
panel of nine, because three of them will almost always vote stupidly. Notice
the "almost" in there. We've had a few unanimous decisions, mostly due to how
narrowly Chief Justice Roberts defines the cases.
But also, even libtards have their stupidity limits. Ketanji
Brown's dressing down of the Mexican (government) plaintiff last year showed
that she is not totally stupid. She has six coworkers who are rational and
qualified jurists, she has two who are plainly nuts. This dynamic pulls her
toward the reality zone. She's demonstrated a profound weakness in the use of
logic, so she is never going to be an equal among those six. But just being
around them and being exposed to rationality means she will be less
ideologically captured than if the SCOTUS were more heavily afflicted with
libtards. And I cannot help but think how listening to Thomas and following
along with his reasoning must have a significant effect. Sitting at the feet of
the master, one learns.
If Senile Sotomayer is replaced in the next year to five years
with someone sane, rational, qualified, and non-Marxist, Brown will likely vote
with the majority more often than not. And that will leave Kagan effectively
isolated and neutralized, writing inane dissents. Her feelings of frustration,
combined with the ridicule her inane dissenting opinions will garner her, would then
lead to her retiring at perhaps age 70. At which point, DEI Ketanji will be the
only Justice remaining who was appointed by an election fraud POTUS (Obama for
SS and Kagan, Biden for KBJ). She is not articulate enough to write dissenting
opinions that aren't farsical, so most likely she will avoid dissenting to avoid
embarrassment.
This will then be a conservative, independent SCOTUS that will
oppose Marxist lunacy while also refusing to rubber stamp schemes hatched by
Republican administrations. That is, balance will be restored.
After I wrote this piece, I discovered that President Trump has
already said he will nominate Ted Cruz (no relation to Tom Cruise). Senator Cruz
may not be a black woman who can't tell us what a woman is, but he is a Canadian
immigrant of Hispanic ethnicity. So maybe he'll pass the DEI "standards" likely
to be trotted about by Bernie Sanders and other morons, but we really should not
care about their opinions. Cruz has an impressive resume and a sound
Constitutional footing. The trick for Trump to nominate Cruz or anyone else is
getting the demented Sotomayer to retire.
Communist Convention Cancelled
The Communist Party has cancelled its midterm convention. Their
disapproval rating is at 70%, the highest ever, and still dropping. They have
had a string of embarrassments and humiliations since the Cackler ran for POTUS,
and they continue to behave in ways that repel voters. So it would be more of a
funeral than a convention. This November looks bleak for them:
No character
-
Every one of their political stars is a moron. You can't
find a single intelligent person among them.
-
They are crooks, too. That is catching up with them.
-
We know who the insider trading criminals are. They can make
a run for public office and get indicted, or they can quietly resign.
-
The Epstein files will expose quite a few commies for the
scum they are, just as has happened to their counterparts in Europe.
-
The Minnesota fraud scandal is just the tip of the iceberg.
But it has already sunk the guy who ran for VP on their ticket less than two
years ago. It will take down many others, because it also infects other
communist countries such as Illinois and California--places that have
traditionally held commie seats in Congress.
No money
-
Their fundraising is anemic, while the Republican war chest
is massive and growing. This is unprecedented in history.
-
The "capital flight" problem, where people have fled to the
free states, has left them with less public funding to misappropriate.
-
Their money-laundering schemes such as USAID have been
dismantled.
-
The campaign donations flowing from federal employees are
far less now because there are far fewer federal employees.
-
The billionaire donors who supported them in the past have
switched sides, due to communists turning on them after getting into power.
Ultra-wealthy donors bring more than just money, they also bring influence.
No bench
-
Trump has an All Star Team for his cabinet. Most are very
good-looking, in addition to being highly competent, articulate, and
dedicated. The glow of this extends to Trump-endorsed senators and
congressmen running this November.
-
By contrast, it's looking like the Communists will run AOC
for POTUS in 2028. In addition to coming across like the complete idiot she
is in hundreds of YouTube clips of her behaving stupidly in House hearings,
in her recent trip to Europe she showed how dim her bulb really is. This is
their flag-bearer? They can't find somebody with at least half a brain?
-
The GOP is replacing its older senators and House reps with
younger ones; six senators recently retired and were replaced by people
young enough to be their kids or as in Mitch McConnell's case, grandson. All
of these newcomers have been selected based on their merits not on their
pronouns.
-
The Communist Party is still dominated by geriatrics who
have yet to do anything useful. Nutcase Nancy, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie
Sanders, Rosa DeLauro, are all way past their freshness date. Then you have
repeat failures such as Adam Schiff and Gruesome Newsom.
No cheating
-
Their lamestream media have the lowest trust score ever.
-
The censorship they relied on has been largely abated.
-
Many election integrity measures have been enacted since the
2000 election (when the chads controversy, for example, started Florida on
the path of improving election integrity).
-
The election integrity movement got a huge boost after the
2020 election was so obviously stolen.
-
Millions of the illegal aliens who illegally vote for them
have been deported.
-
Their message of hatred and violence is repelling people.
No contest
-
Trump has, by far, been the most effective POTUS in history
and has brought us into a golden age just as he said he would. People can
see it in their everyday lives, and yet this is what the commies are
rallying against. It's a failing platform.
-
The free states are clearly better places to live (lower
taxes, better services, more liberty, less violence) than the communist
controlled places. It's A/B testing, people can see the huge difference.
-
Unless Republicans stay home, and given what we went through
during the Communist Occupation that is unlikely, the Communist Party will
suffer record losses during this midterm election. Remember, patriots turned
out in record numbers after being asked to make Trump's run "too big to
fail".
No-win
-
They are opposing the SAVE Act, even though 83% of voters
want it passed. If they continue to oppose it, they will alienate many who
might otherwise vote "Democrat". But if they pass it, they will lose their
second most powerful way of cheating in elections.
-
They opposed the One Big Beautiful Bill, then derided it as
the One Ugly Bill once it passed. The benefits of the OBBB, such as vastly
reduced taxes for seniors, take away entire demographics from them.
You can see the video clip assault on them already. To survive that, they
must either admit they were wrong or continue to lie and deflect. Either
way, they lose.
-
They keep defending the Unaffordable Care Act, but Trump has
negotiated (strong-armed) favored nation status with Big Pharma to bring us
the lowest prescription drug costs in the world. They can't harp on the cost
of "health" (medical) care without showing that they are largely responsible
for the runaway costs that Trump is now taming via the aforementioned drug
cost reduction and other measures such as increased cost transparency.
The really good news is their defeat this November will be
catastrophic. The word "catastrophic" means something so bad you don't recover
from it. They are too arrogant, too ideological, and too stupid to change course
now. Even if they did somehow come up with a possibly winning campaign platform,
they have nobody to carry it forward for them.
It is possible they could repeat the "Obama miracle" and trot
out another previously unknown homosexual illegal alien who is good at reading
teleprompters. But such as person could win only one Senate or House seat and
would cost a lot to put into place during a time when they have a financial
crisis. This would, however, solve the AOC problem for 2028 if it plays out the
same way as the Obama scam played out. But that person would have to run against
a real opponent, not John McCain saddled with an airhead from Alaska. They
simply can't pull it off.
Scam Day, 5th of March
No, it's not a Democrat Party rally or another fake pandemic.
"On March 5, 2026, during National Consumer Protection Week, the

Scam Trial: Musk On Trial in Commifornia
Elon Musk broke the highly oppressive censorship that we endured
during the Communist Occupation, by purchasing Twitter and making it the only
major platform that allowed any diversity of viewpoint whatsoever. And just like
that, free speech was restored. For this, he is being put on trial in
Commiefornia. The jury selection process is revealing, almost half of the
prospective jurors were dismissed for admitting that they hate Elon.
Why the hatred?
They are intellectually stunted, emotionally impaired, delusional, ignorant,
unthinking, innumerate, semi-literate sociopaths. They live in their hate-filled
echo chambers and lack any interest in understanding reality. Yes, they are all
commies.
The good news for us sane people is these whackos overwhelmingly got The Jab
and are now dying off at an accelerated rate (mostly due to the cancers). In
addition, their personalities are an excellent form of birth control so they are
not breeding. Maybe in 10 years, there won't be enough of them to worry about.
It's one thing we can thank Fauci and Gates for.
Stupid Commies at SOTU
President Trump's State of the Union address was a master class in how to
contrast yourself with your opponents and get them to show how extremely stupid
they are. If you have not watched the SOTU address, do so (plenty of videos of
it). It's the longest one ever given, but when it was done I wanted more.
The commies just do not get it. Making faces, heckling the President, and
refusing to stand to show approval of anything simply confirms that none of them
belong in office. When asked to stand if they believe the government should put
Americans first not illegal aliens, they sat. And even though 89% of Americans,
regardless of party, want Voter ID they also sat when asked to stand if they
were for Voter ID.
Nutcase Nancy was quick to send out another of her venomous, delusional
e-mails the next day. Upon reading it, I could see she had gone off her meds and
badly needed to be indicted for slander, libel, and sedition. On top of the
insider trading charges that she is so clearly guilty of that Trump mentioned
her by name when talking about a bill he would sign to stop this very thing.
And, of course, the usual morons made their idiotic rebuttals but outside the
stupidity-dome echo chambers, nobody cared about what they had to say.
Things are looking very good coming into the November elections. The
self-inflicted wounds the commies got at the SOTU and on the next day should
guarantee a rout. But unless patriots like us turn out to vote the way we did to
defeat Cackling Kamala, our republic is in peril. I do not mean it will be in
peril if we don't turn out to vote, I mean it is in peril between now and the
conclusion of the election and we must turn out to vote or we will give these
mentally ill, immoral people power again.
Make sure you vote this November. And until then, do some mild campaigning
for freedom and the rule of law. Don't get into angry arguments, but do
respectfully counter the commie propaganda and make a point of complimenting
Team Trump to others. My sister, a patriot, uses this method. One reason it
works is the echo chamber brainwashed are simply unaware of reality because it's
not even mentioned in the legacy media to which they are, unfortunately,
addicted. So mention it to them.
Another Stupid Commie Ploy
Former Biden Flunkie Susan Rice said that corporations that have
“taken a knee to Trump” will face consequences when the Democrats take back
power. In other words, "We have nothing positive to offer, but we believe in the
random pendulum which means we will be in charge again right after winning the
next election and then we will abuse you every way possible for supporting our
opponent."
First of all, there is no pendulum. The only way the communists
can retake the White House is the same way the retook it last time: Massive,
obvious, unrestrained election cheating with the cooperation of Facebook and the
legacy media. This has three problems:
-
There's been a lot of election reform since then. And a lot
of corruption exposed. The cheating will be inordinately more expensive at a
time when the commies have chased away many of their largest donors.
-
Zuck regrets what he did, and he has a vested self-interest
in opposing the commies. Facebook is not going to go down that path again.
No more Zuck Bucks campaigns, either.
-
The legacy media have dramatically shrunk in size, reach,
audience, and credibility. Many of them have lost multi-million dollar
lawsuits, and it's looking like one of them is going to lose the $10 billion
lawsuit filed by Citizen Trump. They are still a problem, but they no longer
control the narrative.
What is the likely response from these corporations, which are
now enjoying financial prosperity they did not enjoy under the Communist
Occupation? They are going to expend extra effort to ensure the communists do
not return to power. Not just the White House, but also key Senate and House
races. Some ways they might do this:
-
Employee education. Simply giving people the numbers and
letting them decide might sound weak, but the numbers are extremely
compelling. For example, the lowest murder rate in over 120 years.
-
District voter education campaigns. They have a right to
politically participate in the voting district where their offices are
located. They can hire any number of companies to send out a mailing
designed to sway voters to support the non-communist candidate. Or they can
choose a "battleground" district in their state.
-
Civic Duty Days. Employees who choose to participate in poll
watching or other election integrity efforts get a paid day off to do that.
-
Donations to candidates they favor. Of course, outright
dollar donations have fairly low limits. But they can provide other
benefits, such as paying a stipend to interns, providing free office space,
providing free coffee, renting them a company vehicle below market rates,
providing services such as having their legal department or finance
department review documents or expenses, etc.
In the past, leaders of these companies were either conned or
extorted into supporting the communists. And it meant forking out money to them.
The con doesn't work anymore, so the extortion is being taken to new extremes.
Now they are being threatened with severe reprisals if they fail to actively
undermine the President who pulled the nation out of a deep economic depression,
stopped violent offenders from crossing the border into our country, ended the
"green energy" scam, negotiated 10 peace settlements in his first year, and
bought $18 trillion (4.5 times the GDP of Japan) of investment into USA
manufacturing in his first year. So what do you think their response is going to
be?
Yep, eliminate the threat. I sincerely hope other prominent
commies echo what Rice said. Because the intended victims are listening. And
they don't take threats lying down.
Yet Another Stupid Commie Ploy
Winsome Sears lost the Virginia Governor's race to Comrade
Abigail Spanberger, despite being far more qualified and having a far firmer
grip on economic reality. It did not take Spanberger long to embrace criminals
with the special protections they have in places like Commiefornia, and punish
those who create wealth. It also did not take long for Boeing to relocate its
entire Defense, Space & Security headquarters to St Louis, MO. Losing that tax
generating business is going to hurt the state's Treasury severely. And now, the
commie-induced death spiral begins. Taxes are raised and services skimped on to
avoid going into the red. People get upset and move out of state, further
eroding the tax base. Which means another round of tax hikes and service
curtailments. Which upsets more people....
We need to thank Spanberger for this, because by the time the
November elections roll around the stench of communism will offend the vast
majority of voters in that state. It could be enough to unseat communist Mark
Warner who is running for re-election to the Senate. Six of the state's 11
Congressional Reps are communists; Spanberger's insanity could reduce that
number to zero. A more likely outcome is a shift of two seats. If this also
happens in half of the 50 states, the Republicans would pick up 50 reps while
the communists lose 50. That would be a shift of 100 seats in favor of sanity.
The Republicans have 218 seats in the House, and in this scenario they would end
up with 318 seats for the next Congress.
As you can see, it would not take much change in any one state
if the same change happens in half of them, to dramatically change the balance
of power. So let's hope these crazy governors (Spanberger) and mayors (Mamdami)
keep doing what they are doing. I think this situation is the only reason
Nutcase Nancy has not been either indicted for her many felonies or placed
involuntarily in a mental care facility. She is a terrible ambassador for the
commies and every time she opens her mouth she makes them look stupid and
untrustworthy.
Sanders' Stupid Solution
The communists who run Commiefornia have been on a tear, driving
billionaires and other wealthy people out of the state. A sane person would
respond to this by reversing the bad policies and issuing apologies. Bernie
Sanders has responded to this by calling for a national tax on billionaires. In
other words, he doesn't want highly successful entrepreneurs driven out of just
Commifornia. He wants them driven out of the USA.
It boggles the mind that these same people want open borders to
illegal aliens, who are a drain on our system via high crime and many other
problems. But they want to close our borders to people who innovate, create
wealth, provide jobs, and take huge risks to make dreams come true. How in any
way is this even remotely rational? Is it not a priori evidence that these
people are insane? How can any such a crazy person be in public office? Taking
this position should be an automatic disqualifier and render the person
unemployable until having completed psychiatric treatment.

3. Brainpower tip
|
Try to practice objectivity. This is very difficult for most people, but for
some it is a habit.
Engineers and other quants tend to lean heavily on objectivity. Not all, but
most, of them have a desire to be right. Not to "be right" as in seeking out
confirmation of what they already believe, but to get at the truth by looking at
date and other facts dispassionately. To most quants, there's a particular
comfort in knowing that your perception of events or situations is based on
something unassailable. They know they are naturally biased and try to remove
the bias. When their view doesn't align with the facts, they change their view.
People who practice subjectivity tend not to see themselves as biased. They
see themselves (and their ideology or position) as inherently right. They will
interpret everything through that lens. When their view doesn't align with the
facts, they "tweak" the facts to match their view. Leaps of logic, baseless
assertions, language abuse, and fact inversion (stating the opposite of what the
data say) are all tools they use to avoid being actually right.
I'm an objective person. I will even stake out the opposing position and
argue against my own view. I learned this while on the debate team in high
school. You had to argue PRO in one round and CON in the next.
Being objective means that instead of getting into arguments, I get into
searches for the truth. I give others the benefit of the doubt, rather than
jumping to some conclusion about them. I seek their side of the story. It's more
typical to simply run with the first thing you hear, and that's what the
simpletons who embrace communism do. They hear some anti-Trump propaganda and no
matter how absurd they simply run with it. They are gaslighted with some commie
message "Trump is [fill in the blank]" and accept it as true. They don't ask
basic questions or in any way challenge the statement.
I recently came across a YouTube clip of an old Happy Days episode. It
perfectly illustrates the principle of looking at things objectively. It's just
under 5 minutes long. Watch it and see how The Fonz practices objectivity and
gets at the truth.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyjWus2eR-Y&t=4s
Some tips to being objective when considering a postulation:
- Don't just come up with examples that confirm the postulation. Try very
hard to come up with counterexamples that may disprove the postulation.
- Consider your fact sources. This is something communism embracers
totally fail at. They are repeatedly and chronically lied to by the
lamestream media, yet they continue to eat it up. It boggles the mind that
any human being on the planet would bother to open a copy of The New York
Times. It is complete hogwash and 100% unreliable.
- Try to set your own circumstances and experiences aside. Some people
cannot grasp, understand, or appreciate something that they have not
experienced. I know a few people who have never set foot in a climbing
gym and yet they can have an intelligent conversation with me about
climbing. Why? Because they can see outside of their own experience.
- Try to see the bigger picture. When President Trump rolled out tariffs
on everybody, I did not like it. Why? Because a tariff is a tax on an
importer, and I am an importer. Now, I could have decided to hate Trump. But
the thing is, you do not throw out the baby with the bathwater unless you
are terminally stupid. My monthly business revenue had already more than
doubled since the Cackler ceded the election. Particularly, the sales of the
items I import and for which I have the highest profit, had gone up
dramatically. If I paid some guru a fee to make this happen and he charged
me only what I paid in tariffs, I would be thrilled.
- Ask good questions. What is a realistic cost? What is the expected
benefit? Is that benefit worth the cost?
- How does this mesh with commonly understood facts and concepts?
- Analyze the logic. Does A necessarily follow from B, or am I assuming a
causation that isn't really there?
- Avoid emotional language. Nutcase Nancy is good at tossing firebombs
when she speaks. She does not present facts, she presents emotional word
salads and uses those to manipulate people. She gets their amygdala
involved, which cuts out the neocortex. This is one of the reasons that
communists are so stupid, they literally are "thinking" with their reptile
brains. Avoid this at all costs.
- Replace Orwellian language with proper word choices. An example I like
to use is calling medical care what it is, medical care. It is not health
care. By calling it "health care" the medical industry, which has no doctors
who graduated from health school and have a HD after their name, completely
changes the perception. As does the medical insurance industry.
- Treat the postulation as something you have to sell to a hard audience.
Of accountants. Forensic accountants. You'd be surprised at the clarity of
thought this brings. At least, it does for me.

4. Finance tip

I used to work in Plant Engineering. I progressively made my way through these
titles: electrical maintenance manager, maintenance manager, maintenance and
facilities manager, and plant engineer. I had the privilege of working with some
top-notch people, and also the burden of working with some idiots. I went from
that to working as a multi-hat electrical engineer / project manager / site
supervisor / CAD guy / Code guy for an electrical services firm. My boss was a
great guy, and he reported to the owner (another great guy). We had some
top-notch people there. But then I got an offer from an electrical trade
magazine and worked there for six years. During that time, I attended many
industry conferences. I found that a certain kind of stupidity I had encountered
prior to that job was actually very common.
That stupidity is the idea that you save money by not doing maintenance. It's
a very expensive behavior.
I have changed my own oil (car) every 5,000 miles for the past 40+ years and
this has probably saved me 10s of thousands of dollars. Here are some other
preventive maintenance tasks that save you money:
- Clean your coffee maker. I was recently at a climbing gym that serves
hot coffee. I could smell that their coffee maker hadn't been cleaned, and I
told them so. I also told them how to clean it, they had no idea. There are
multiple methods, but the best one is to add a tablespoon of citric acid per
3 cups of water to the carafe (it it's a nine-pot carafe, add 3
tablespoons). Shake it to dissolve the citric acid. Then make a fake pot of
coffee. Discard the "coffee" down the drain (to help clean it), and repeat
with plain water twice. If you use vinegar instead of citric acid, you'll
need a third rinse.
- Use citric acid to clean humidifiers. Use it to clean toilet bowls, too;
simply dump about two tablespoons in and swish with the brush to dissolve,
then let it sit for a couple of hours. Do not add it to the tank, you will
likely damage the flapper or other parts.
- Clean and polish your shoes. Not only does this improve your personal
presentation, it allows your shoes to last far longer.
- Clean or change your furnace filter. Make a monthly appointment to do
this.
- Once a week or so, pull the racks out of your dishwasher and wipe it
down inside. I use a bamboo sponge. Clean the filter in there, too.
- Vacuum your carpet. I use a Roomba once a week, as a sort of baseline.
Additional vacuuming with canister, as needed. If your home is too cluttered
for a Roomba, get rid of stuff until it isn't.
- Have a contract with an HVAC company to inspect your furnace once or
twice a year. These contracts are typically around $120 a year, so you
really get your money's worth. They are hoping to find something to fix or
replace, which of course is going to cost you money. But consider what
happens if you have a cracked heat exchanger and they find it. Big money to
replace, and in my case last year it meant a whole new furnace. I think that
is preferable to dying from CO poisoning, but to each his own. Your
insurance agent will probably try to tell you that a furnace replacement
costs less than replacing a burned down house, and if you disagree then just
work the numbers out and show him. :)
- Keep your car tires inflated to the pressure shown on the door jamb
plate.
- Rotate your tires every 7,500 miles or so. If you don't have a pair of
floor jacks or don't feel comfortable doing this, have a tire shop do it.
Your tires will last longer.
- Keep your car clean inside and out. A dirty exterior means that grime is
abrading your finish. I sealed mine with a polymer (big job, has to be
redone every few years), but if you're not up for that then have car
detailer do it. Some car washes offer this service.
- Get your sleep. Maintaining your brain health this way is one of the
best ways to protect yourself from financial loss.
- Don't take your job for granted. The vast majority of people fail to do
the preventive maintenance needed to keep their job. Then they are surprised
when they don't get a raise or do get fired.
- If you're a husband, be alert for preventive maintenance that needs
doing in your marriage. Wives, like any other appliance, break down over
time. You can keep them humming along by doing at least one small kindness
each day, taking out the trash without being asked, picking up after
yourself, telling her each day something you appreciate about her, setting
aside time to listen to her, and sincerely showing her that she is valued
and respected. For example, stop thinking of her as an appliance!
- Maintain your lean mass. I fail to understand why it is normal to allow
yourself to lose muscle and end up with pancake butt by age 50. Regularly
engaging in vigorous exercise, especially if it is a structured program,
will extend your health span dramatically. This is one of the most important
things you can do for your physical health, mental health, old age
independence, and late-life financial well-being. There are entire books
written on this, but don't waste time reading them. Just make sure you do
this.
- Get regular eye exams and dental exams. This may sound contrary to my
advice to skip the annual doctor visit, but these exams really fall under
health care instead of medical "care" (if you want to call it that). If you
don't know why these are such a good use of your time, ask your eye doctor
or your dentist. A chiropractor, similar thing.
Some other maintenance is very expensive with little or no benefit. I
recommend not doing these:
- Getting "your annual flu shot". This shot has zero value, and it carries
risk. Don't get it. I've previously covered what's wrong with it, the short
version is it's made for an extinct flu bug from Australia.
- Any kind of scheduled vaccines. The vaccine religion is not based on
science, and there are no quality controls. Instead, focus on boosting your
immune system.
- Annual "check up" with the doctor. Unless you have some ongoing
condition, there is nothing to be gained by this. You pay a copay, waste
your time, and risk getting conned into undergoing unnecessary tests and
treatments.
- "Pest control" treatments for your lawn. These companies all claim their
products are eco-friendly, but when you look up the ingredients online you
find out they are super bad for bees. If you want great pest control, set up
a bird feeder, a bird bath, and a few bird houses.
- Taking a multivitamin. Take a look at the Nutrition Panel. You will
likely see megadoses of B12 and other vitamins. Though these are water
soluble, they are not inert. You can do serious kidney damage with these
products, and kidney disease is a top killer in the USA.

5. Security tip
Many stretches of interstate in metro areas are heavily afflicted by overly
aggressive sociopaths who have no business behind the wheel of a vehicle and
probably belong in a padded cell. They terrorize others by various means. For
example, a favorite tactic is to tailgate for a bit, then pass and cut back over
without sufficient room to avoid collision unless their victim brakes hard. If
the posted speed limit is 65MPH and the car in front of them is doing "only"
75MPH, then apparently the driver of that 75MPH car is a scumbag who does not
deserve to be on the same road.
These aggressors exhibit no evidence of understanding that they don't own
that road, other people who use the road also pay the taxes that allow the road
to exist, and the safety of other people is important. They view anyone else on
the road as being in their way and deserving of any disrespect that can be
dished out.
This situation is relatively new, having developed during the Communist
Occupation. It has arisen as a consequence of the "Defund the Police"
stupidity that followed George Floyd's suicide by drug overdose. It was already
stressful enough to be a cop, this particularly sad chapter in our nation's
history increased the stress dramatically. On top of that, many police budgets
were slashed. Apparently, if you have fewer police you will have fewer career
criminals dying from an overdose of fentanyl and meth. I don't follow the
"logic" but you have to remember that line of "thinking" emerged in Moronesota,
specifically in Moroneapolis.
Today, the rest of us bear the significant costs of that. Whether your
formerly safe Chicago neighborhood is now a free-for-all killing zone or
traveling on a metro section of an interstate feels like an audition for a new
Mad Max movie, we are all paying for what was done to our police forces.
Some tips:
- In any interaction with police officers, show extra respect. Even if you
are getting a traffic ticket. You can say, "Officer, I don't like getting
this ticket. But I appreciate you for trying to make our roads safer. I
should not have been speeding."
- When you see a cop in public, smile big toward that person. This goes a
very long way.
- Write to your state rep and ask why more funds are not allocated to the
State Police.
- If you live in a border city, write to the Governor's office of the
neighboring state expressing support for their State Police.
- Write to your County Board rep and express appreciation for the County
Sheriff's Office and all they do for public safety.
- When encountering people who make disparaging remarks about police, ask
if you can call that person instead of the police to report a violent crime
in progress and add, "What's your response time?"
- If your city newsletter has an item about an officer getting promoted or
completing some sort of certification, send a hand-written note (inside a
Congratulations card is fine) congratulating that officer.
- Mention to neighbors how tough a job the police have, and ask those
neighbors for ideas on what you can do to show appreciation (this is reverse
psychology, you are getting the other person to think about the police in an
appreciative way).
- To help nip the problem at the source, bring up this issue with friends
and relatives. Probably, at least one of them is engaging in this behavior.
- When being victimized on the road, maintain present course and speed but
change lanes if it is safe to do so. Don't do anything that amounts to
letting a lunatic tell you how to drive, such as tailgating the car in front
of you, speeding up, slowing down, making an unsafe lane change (cut in
front of another driver), or pulling onto the shoulder at highway speeds to
let them pass. Try to safely get out of their way, as that improves your
safety. Getting out of their way might seem like surrendering and rewarding
them for bad behavior, but they are already exhibiting bad behavior. See the
next item on how to punish them for it.
- Take out one road terrorist at a time. Keep a voice recording app open
on your phone, and record as much info as possible. First few digits
of license number, license plate state, quick description of driver, basic
description of vehicle, mile marker closest to encounter. Then when you get
home, call the non-emergency number for the county Sheriff's office of the
jurisdiction in which this occurred. Tell them you were in the parking lot
of (name a store you saw from the highway) when this person approached you
offering to sell you drugs. You said no. Then later, he whipped past you at
a very high rate of speed while driving erratically. Yes, this is lying but
it will get the police out to that person's house or get him pulled over. He
will get the message that his high speed, erratic driving is not something
he can simply get away with. You may just save an entire family from being
wiped out by this loose nut behind the wheel.
Worst things you can do:
- Engage the road terrorists at the time of the incident (e.g., flipping
them off). Remember, they do not see you as human and are in an insane state
of mind.
- Driving ever faster to get out of their way. You cannot drive fast
enough for these lunatics.
- Slamming on your brakes to send a message. This could get you
rear-ended, and at the very least it will inflame an already out of control
lunatic.
- Slowing down just to be obstinate. This really does not help.
- Shrinking your own space bubble to get out of their way. This means you
endanger yourself and at least one other driver to make a lunatic feel
better? Nope. Don't do it.

A common question when it comes to training is, "How do I get motivated to do
that?" Take a look at a bird-legged, pencil-armed 60 year old ambling
along with stooped posture. Is that what you aspire to? If not, there's your
motivation. If, like me, you are well past 60 then you are already either
doing this or wish you had started years ago. There's your motivation.
If you need a bit of expert opinion on this, then spend 40:40 watching my
Go To Guy, Dr. Rick Cohen, talk about the power of muscle mass for healthy
aging:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWD7xCIxO48
But I don't think it's motivation that people need. It's decision.
- You don't need motivation to get out of bed in the morning. It's
time to get up. You get up.
- Nobody motivates you to put one leg into your pants and then the
other each morning. It's a decision, you just do it.
- You don't need motivation to eat food. You do it without needing any
kind of rah-rah.
- There are dozens of things you do each day without needing to go
through some motivational moment. You decide. You do.
Much of my life, I have had demotivation. But I decided and did it
anyhow. Some examples:
- I competed with my buddy Mike for worst baseball player on the youth
league. I think we were about 9 or 10. Nothing motivated us to
participate and look like such fools. We just decided we were going to
play baseball for the whole season.
- I was so bad at middle school wrestling, the coach came up with C
string so I could stay on the team. Despite being so bad at it, I
decided to stick with it.
- In high school, I was motivated to get into better physical shape so
I hit the gym after school. One day, the basketball MVP stopped in to
tell me that daily commitment was motivating him. He asked me to promise
not to miss my workouts. I decided to make that promise. From that point
forward, I didn't need motivation. A decision had been made, I stuck to
it. That was in the spring of 1977. I have kept that promise ever since.
|
 |
Perhaps "I can't get motivated" is not the real reason for you? What if it's
one of the following:
- I am too fat to go to a gym, I would feel like an outsider just walking
in there.
Answer: Why is that gym there? Just for people who are in perfect condition?
Go to one and look around, most folks are trying to fix a problem!
- Gymtimidation. I know I can't bench press very much. Other people are
going to ridicule me.
Answer: Then don't use the bench press. Do other training. What you are far
more likely to find is others will be willing to help you. This may be with
training tips or, get this, motivating comments!
- I don't have the time to drive to the gym.
Answer: Then don't. Buy a set of bands and a few dumbbells, then figure out
a split routine program you can do with that simple equipment (which takes
up very little space).
- I don't have gym clothes.
Answer: I work out in whatever I am wearing. Usually blue jeans and a
T-shirt during winter. No shoes, except when doing seated calf raises.
- I don't have the budget for all the supplements I would need.
Answer: Really, you don't need any supplements. Forget about protein shakes,
make yourself some scrambled eggs instead. Definitely do not take a
multivitamin, these have dangerously high doses of B vitamins (especially
B12). Your kidneys will thank you for avoiding this abuse.
- I would do it, except for the cardio.
Answer: I don't do cardio work. There is no need for it if you do supersets.
|
| Many people decide they will train, if there's
time at the end of the day. The problem is if training is not firmly
scheduled, there will never be time at the end of the day. I train very
early in the day. I used to train late in the day after work, but that was
at a scheduled time. Not if I had time. At a specific time. Perhaps the
most common barrier is not understanding the nature of training at all. A
common misunderstanding is that training consists of moving a lot of
weight around for 60 to 90 minutes. Preferably while carrying around a towel
and water bottle. People who start with this idea soon quit, because it's
exhausting and time-consuming without producing any results other than achy
joints.
The main goal of training is to stimulate the adaptive response. You can
do that without using much weight at all. In my own case, I use five
sessions of 20 to 30 minutes each week. That's it, no marathon sessions. But
it's highly structured and I am very strict on form. Another goal of
training is to develop functional strength through a given joint's full
range of motion. I don't toss weights around or try to set records for my
one rep max. For example, I use a 10lb dumbbell for a type of biceps curl
you almost never see anyone do. It's the full extension curl, there's no way
a mortal can do it with a heavy weight. But it is very productive and I have
the arms to prove it (see photos).
So:
- Decide that you will train consistently per a schedule.
- Make the schedule and just get started.
- Develop a training program that stimulates the adaptive response
while developing functional strength. If you don't know how to do this,
find someone whose physique shows that understanding and ask for advice.
A good resource is https://athleanx.com/.
This channel is very popular among bodybuilders and climbers.
- When out in public, look around at the people who clearly have not
trained and are now paying for it. You don't need more motivation than
that.
- Stick with your decision.
