1. Good News: Where the Intel is Good

  • The newspaper long known as the Washington Compost was bought by Jeff Bezos in 2013. Near the end of the Communist Occupation, which caused extensive damage to Amazon and most other businesses that weren't doing something extremely immoral, Bezos said the Post would not endorse a Presidential candidate. This took the paper back to its pre-1976 policies. Since most subscribers were libtards, most subscribers cancelled. They wanted their echo chamber, not news. Bezos has made other changes to make the paper far more honest. If Elon Musk could bring Twitter over from the dark side, Bezos can do it with the Post. More good news ahead, you wait and see.

  • Speaking of Bezos, the economy is on such a tear now that most Amazon warehouses are now at capacity. Processing an inbound package used to be a matter of a couple of days, and now boxes sit outside in trailers for sometimes an entire month waiting in queue. Normally, this kind of overload happens only in November with the last-minute rush to capture those Christmas sales. With Trump in office, it looks like every day is Christmas--at least from the perspective of a professional Amazon seller that uses Fulfillment By Amazon.

  • The murder rate in the USA is the lowest in 125 years. Yes, one hundred twenty five. That's even including the "gun control" cities, some of which President Trump has cleaned up (Washington, DC was the first of them).

  • "U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized more than 660 pounds of methamphetamine worth nearly $6 million from a single truck at the U.S.–Mexico border, the agency shared exclusively with The Epoch Times."

  • From The Capitalist: "Federal civilian employment plummeted to 2.686 million in January 2026 — the lowest level since May 1966 — as President Trump’s administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) drove massive workforce reductions through attrition, buyouts, and program cuts during his first year back in office."

That is an astounding reduction, and yet the federal government is functioning better than it has in 60+ years. Most federal jobs consisted of writing pointless reports, drafting interdepartmental memos, attending pointless meetings, and hiding from the supervisor. Those jobs are gone, freeing up people who have a work ethic to actually work instead of being forced to read pointless reports, read interdepartmental memos, get bored half to death attending pointless meetings, and hunting for their supervisor who was also in hiding.

  • Much of the employment shrinkage involved the "Democrat" Party  money laundering operation known as USAID. It shrank by 92%. Another notable is the Department of Diseducation, whose mission was to minimize the number of kids who graduate from high school being able to read and do basic math. While largely successful in its mission (they took us from the most literate country to the least literate among industrialized nations and did something similar for numeracy), the DoD wasn't well-liked by people who have morals. Which is most of us.

  • Between DOGE and the tax cuts for the poor and middle class (whom Nutcase Nancy refers to as "billionaires"), IRS abuse has seemingly disappeared. It would be nice if the IRS simply disappeared.

Civil Rights Underminer Jesse Jackson, Dead at 84

Jesse Jackson got his start in the Civil Rights movement by tagging along with Dr. King. When King was assassinated, Jackson's very first question to [an individual close to King] was about what would happen to his own career. Having minimal intelligence and no real talent of his own, Jackson wasn't able to aid the movement in any serious way. So instead, he spent decades disrespecting the movement by making a clown show spectacle of various incidents and issues. He was joined by Al Sharpton, another self-aggrandizing moron with delusions of adequacy.

While King's raw honesty and calls for unity brought people of all races together, Jackson's dishonesty and combative rhetoric pushed them apart. Jackson deliberately stoked the flames of division so that he would have a pretense of being a Civil Rights hero. He severely impaired the movement. If not for King's assassination and the subsequent rise of charlatans like Jackson, the racial conflicts of the 1970s would not have occurred.

This reality is not how "history" will see Jackson, which is really a travesty. It's even more of a travesty that the reality wasn't the mainstream viewpoint at the time Jackson was selling his con. Jackson's ploy has been repeated by other charlatans, much to the detriment of the very people they have pretended to champion.

Even today, there are Jackson copy cats who play the race card for their own benefit. The most notable, perhaps, is the Communist Party which maintains that black people are too stupid and too lazy to obtain voter ID therefore we should not have this or any other basic election integrity measure in place. That level of insult should have every black person voting Republican; why support someone who publicly insults you as being stupid and lazy? Sadly, the Jesse Jackson effect is in play.

Citizens Boycotting Crime

In the People's Republic of California, a communist country noted for election fraud and inept government, more and more voters are simply boycotting the fake system. Voter participation was down 6% in this last November's general election compared to the previous one and that downward trend has gone on for some time now. The boycott rate is now nearly 40%. A similar thing has occurred in the People's Republic of Illinois, where the joke goes that dead people vote in alphabetical order.

It should not be surprising that Florida, now the freest of the free states, has the highest voter turnout. Citizens there have a lot more confidence that they aren't being disenfranchised.

What the inmates/serfs of the PRoC and the PRoI should do is turn out en masse to vote Republican. Not that Republicans are perfect or will do everything those voters want (they aren't, and they won't). But to boot out the criminals. If the commies cannot win an election no matter how much they cheat, that will be a major reform. It's DIY election integrity. We saw this work during the 2024 election, when Candidate Trump asked voters to make this "too big to fail".

Remember, the commies stole the swing states in 2020 by very narrow margins. All of which resulted from mail-in votes after the polls closed. Staying home because you know the system is rigged does not actually help. Showing up and voting against the system riggers is how you beat them.

Two Scammers Convicted

Two executives were sentenced to 20 years for their role in defrauding the government of $233 million via the Unaffordable Care Act.

While this is good, why have not the architects of the UCA ever been indicted? Nutcase Nancy grossly abused her power as Speaker to ram the bill through the House before it was even read. For example, the Speaker assigns office spaces and parking spaces. She threatened some of the opposition to this clearly illegal act with reassigning their office to a far flung broom closet somewhere and putting their parking space as far from the Capitol as possible. She had done such petty things before, and so her threats were credible. And enough to get the Unaffordable Care Act passed into law even though it was based on the Senate version and thus originated there and could not be ratified by the House because it contained a tax element and all tax laws must originate in the House.

It was skulduggery and theft on behalf of certain companies, some of which Pelosi had invested in. That insider trading should have put Pelosi in prison, but it didn't. This is our Two-tier Justice System.

Communist Opposition to Democracy, Part 1

The "Democrats" (communists) have a multi-layer strategy for eliminating democracy. And they use it aggressively. The communists cannot win an honest election, because who would vote for the stupid and destructive things they keep doing? So they use a slew of dishonest tactics.

We all know about the gas lighting and brainwashing they do to pull the unthinking and easily malleable into their ranks. But that alone is not nearly enough. To make up for the shortfall, the commies buy voters from other countries. They encourage illegal immigration, shower illegal immigrants with all kinds of benefits at taxpayer expense, then indemnify the illegal immigrants from being prosecuted for massive financial fraud and even from violent crimes. This comes with the message, "As long as you vote Democrat, the gravy train will continue to run." This effectively disenfranchises American citizens, who are highly motivated (unless gas lighted and brainwashed) to vote against Democrats.

This is why the commies fight against:

  • Immigration enforcement (they want to increase the illegal immigrant population, under Biden it was up a staggering 21 million)

  • Funding the police (adequate police protection poses a threat to illegals who would otherwise get arrested for rape, kidnapping, drug dealing, battery, etc.)

  • Voter ID laws (such laws prevent one person from voting at multiple voting precincts or voting even if not a citizen)

  • Counting only US citizens in the Census.

No parentheses on that last one, because it bears more explanation.

The Census determines two things of import to governing the nation:

  1. The allocation of Congressional seats for each state. As the population shifts between the states, so do those Congressional seats.

  2. The allocation of Electoral College votes between the states. Same shifting concept.

You can see how having tens of millions of illegal aliens puffing up the population in some places relative to others is a powerful tool for cheating American citizens out of being represented in Congress and also for stealing the Presidential elections.

If we took a new Census today and (based on the numbers we have from DHS) did not count illegal aliens in that census, the free states of Texas and Florida would gain four EC votes, respectively (similar effect on Congressional seats). The free states of Idaho and Utah would gain one EC vote each. These states have struggled with (and been tilted by) election fraud, and in 2020 their citizens were disenfranchised; they would have much fairer elections and provide an EC vote to the Republican candidate: Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina.

But where would these additional free state votes come from? The People's Republic of California would lose four (note that many residents of the PRC have already fled to TX and FL). Losing one each would be these communist countries: IL, MN, NY, and Rogue Island. Also losing one each would be these states that have struggled with (and been tilted by) election fraud: OR, PA, WI.

By doing just two things (enforcing our immigration laws and requiring voter ID) would keep the commies out of the White House forever (a reformed Democrat Party could get in there) while also rendering them a permanent minority status in the House. It would also most likely shift the Senate, especially in states dominated by a single megacity that's full of illegal aliens.

This is why the commies are encouraging people to attack, doxx, and oppose ICE agents and seeking legislation (via this latest budget battle) to expose the identities of ICE agents and thus make their families exposed to kidnapping, intimidation, and violence. It's also why they are insisting that people of color are too lazy and too stupid to obtain a federal ID (most illegal aliens are also people of color).

If you understand these dynamics, then you will also understand just how important it is to enforce our immigration laws and require a federal ID to vote.

The concept that just because your skin is tan, brown, or black you are too lazy or too stupid to obtain a federal ID is insulting and absurd. Think of all the things you need an ID for (buying liquor, driving a car, opening a checking account, obtaining a job, buying a home, traveling by train, traveling by air, etc.). And think of all the people of color you know, is there even one who does not have a federal ID? Or who strikes you as too lazy or stupid to obtain one?

Each of us has some power in stopping the narrative. Do not subscribe to any legacy media, either in print or online. And when someone spews an absurdity such as requiring voter ID somehow will take the vote away from some racial group(s), ask them how many people of color they know and if any of those people strike them as being too lazy or stupid to obtain a federal ID. Then tick off a few things for which federal ID is required. You can also write these thoughts to your representative or misrepresentative in Congress.

Communist Opposition to Democracy, Part 2

Here's something from Coffee & Covid:

• Gallup: 84% of ALL Americans support requiring photo ID to vote. Including 98% of Republicans, 84% of independents, and 67% of Democrats.
• Rasmussen (Jan. 2026): 74% favor voter ID requirements.

So, overwhelmingly the American people want voter ID required for someone to vote. Even people who are deluded that the "Democrat" Party isn't actually the Communist Party with a horrendous track record on the economy, civil liberties, human rights, censorship, medical freedom, the Rule of Law, border security, and international relations. If they ever get one thing right, we should declare a national holiday. And yet, the communists are adamantly opposing the SAVE Act. In the House, only one "Democrat" voted for it.

Which just goes to prove the "Democrats" are extremely anti-democratic.

Now it goes to the Senate, where the communists are expected to invoke the "silent filibuster" and hold the federal government hostage. I predict the Republicans will let that psychodrama play out, sickening and infuriating the 80% of voters who want this bill enacted to protect their votes from being rendered moot.

Which just goes to prove the "Democrats" are counting on voters not knowing how bad they really are. The thing is, sunlight is a great disinfectant. The days of hiding behind the legacy media are over, even the most insular among us will learn the truth. This is a trap the "Democrats" would be stupid to step into. Given the caliber of AOC, Walz, Harris, etc., you can bet they will step right into it. What morons.

Commie Failure # 728,147,962,874 x 10 to the 555th power

The commies have been yelling "Save Democracy" and "Save Our Democracy" for a long time, now. Yet, they brazenly and obviously nullified democracy in 2020 with brazen and obvious cheating. But they kept beating that drum. And now, they must either vote for the SAVE Act (which helps protect democracy) or take the position they are against democracy by going on record as being against fair elections. One of their tactics to avoid choosing is the claim that black people are too stupid to obtain a government ID. The more they make this claim, the more they will cause people of color to switch from Democrat to Republican and if they are already Republican to stay there.

Commie Failure # 728,147,962,875 x 10 to the 555th power

The commies have been flapping their lips about "affordability" but you can look at what they did during the Communist Occupation that made life in America far less affordable. The list is very long. Since Liberation Day, President Trump has done dozens of things to make life in America more affordable. All of this is backed not only by what we see around us, but by the actual numbers. For example, adding $9 trillion to our debt in 2022 and 2023 and then increasing the money supply by 83% while simultaneously causing a sharp reduction in the basket of goods and services inflated the money supply relative to the BOS by over 100%.

The commies claim that tariffs have made housing unaffordable, even though we do not import houses from Europe or any other country. They believe that letting 21 million illegal aliens into the country during the Occupation somehow had zero effect on demand relative to supply and thus did not drive housing prices sky high. On and on the absurdities go. If they really wanted to make America affordable, the best way they can help is to simply disband the "Democrat" party. Given the damage they've done, that seems obvious.

Commie Failure # 728,147,962,876 x 10 to the 555th power

Cackling Kamala is doing something with social media, but she's so stupid it's not worth spending even a minute to see what she's come up with. The fact that the commies allow such low-IQ submorons represent them politically tells you pretty much all you need to know.

Commie Failure # 728,147,962,877 x 10 to the 555th power

The morons running the People's Republic of California have been talking about an extra 5% tax on billionaires. Election-cheating enabler and billionaire taxpayer Mark Zuckerberg just moved to Florida as a result. So all of the taxes he was paying into the PRC Treasury (real estate tax, sales taxes, license fees, utility taxes, etc.) will no longer be paid there. What the commies fail to understand is that when you penalize people too much they will get mad as hell and not take it anymore.

The PRC is rapidly reducing its mean net worth and its tax base. Once evacuees taste freedom in one of the free states, they are very unlikely to go back. So the PRC will have to rely on fleecing its already strained middle class. Or it will have to give up communism.

As for the Zuck, perhaps he will try to atone for betraying his country with his successful efforts to undermine the 2020 election. After all, the people he helped put into power have threatened to turn on him like a pack of hyenas. The America First people will welcome him with open arms. And going into the mid-term elections, the timing could not be better.

Commie Failure # 728,147,962,878 x 10 to the 555th power

The flight of high-income taxpayers from the People's Republic of California has not deterred the communist mayor of NYC, who apparently believes billionaires in the Big Apple are stupid enough to stay put when a similar tax is passed in New York. The result will be a much bigger gap between taxes collected and funds spent. yet this idiot is trying to get state lawmakers to approve anyhow.

Morons Self-Destructing, #1

It started with the moron who had this stupid idea she could interfere with enforcing the laws that Congress passed by running over an ICE agent with her gashogmobile. Deadly force got met with deadly force, she unfortunately did not survive the encounter. Of course, Nutcase Nancy and other insurrectionists claim that attacking law enforcement officers should be a perfectly safe activity to engage in.

Then there was the moron who brought a loaded pistol with him, and started physically pushing around ICE officers. What did he think was going to happen? Ah, he didn't think! He'd already been injured in previous acts of stupidly assaulting law enforcement officers so he probably wasn't able to think. It strikes me as at least slightly odd that the same moronic members of Congress who have been trying for decades to strip us law-abiding citizens of our Constitutional right to bear arms are now claiming this criminal had the right to arm himself while breaking the law.

Insurrectionists like Nutcase Nancy believe that these acts of stupidity and self-removal from the gene pool have resulted in the commies having martyrs they can trot out to further their "destroy America" agenda. That is bad enough, but some tattooed coward tried to incite the mentally feeble to take up arms and truly escalate things. He was arrested. He told half-truths, and referenced our Second Amendment. He's wrong that it enables citizens to self-appoint as a superior fourth branch of our three branch government and kill government employees who are merely enforcing duly passed laws that said citizens don't understand and don't like.

We have the Rule of Law, and these "peaceful protestors" are trying to replace that with tyranny. The fact they are morons means they fail in their efforts, and always will fail. When Nutcase Nancy and other anti-America communists try to blame law enforcement officers instead of morons for self-inflicted moron deaths, they somehow always fail to mention that 80% (that is the actual number) of deported illegal aliens have been charged with, or convicted of, at least one other crime in addition to illegal entry. A significant number are convicted (by a jury) rapists, murderers, or drug dealers. They get caught, get convicted, and then are held for deportation. Why it is so important to "Democrats" to keep these terrible people in our country, no sane person can explain.

Meanwhile, two activist morons have "self deported" themselves to the morgue. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Morons Self-Destructing, #2

Executives at DEI-sney, formerly known as Disney, cannot understand why their recent remake of Snow White lost $170 million. Despite years of strongly negative blowback from non-delusionals along the lines of "go woke, go broke," they continued to shove their woke ideology down the throats of their target demographic (families). Disney "woked" the Star Wars franchise into oblivion and yet the woke execs could not grasp the idea that the vast majority of Americans do not want to sit through what amounts to a sexual pervert religious service. Especially with their kids.

To save itself, Disney must make a clean sweep of morons and replace them with people who have some respect for Disney customers and audiences. They are then going to have to ensure anything they produce is acceptable to normal audiences or they will not have those audiences.

Morons Self-Destructing, #3

This moron is eviscerating himself in response to Josh Hawley. This is priceless: https://x.com/i/status/2021982753655235011

Morons Self-Destructing, #4

How there can remain a single registered Democrat in the People's Republic of California is a mystery. But the morons who run the state may have just solved that problem. The PRoC is running out of gas. And the only reason that is happening there is the PRoC is a defacto secession state that operates outside our Constitution. And also outside the reality zone. Governor Gruesome and his fellow ruling morons decided that somehow burning coal is cleaner than burning gasoline so went on the warpath against the former. The last refinery there is closing down soon, and this communist country will have to import all of its gasoline. They are not set up to do that, so there will be shortages and price increases for at least a few years. Due to their "green energy" religion, gasoline in the PRoC is already insanely expensive compared to what it costs in the de facto United States.

The only hope for people who are too poor to relocate from the PRoC to a free state is to vote Republican and be adamant to all of their voting age friends and family to do the same. They need to be wearing MAGA hats all the time, starting in October. They also need to insist on election integrity, calling their state misrepresentatives and their County Election Offices. They need to boycott the lamestream media and encourage others to do the same. Given how badly the morons who run the PRoC are treating them, the chances they will take such actions are significant.

Let the games begin!

3. Brainpower tip

It takes a lot of good decisions to succeed in life. One bad decision can ruin everything, forever.

For example, in first grade you decide to pay attention in class and do all of your homework. You keep making this decision for the next twelve years, and you smoke the ACT. But let's say you decide to, just this once, pass other cars on the shoulder of the road while doing 90MPH. You hit a cement embankment and end up eating from a tube during the remaining miserable eight months of your life. Or maybe you got scammed out of your life savings, because just this once you saw easy money as being a reality.

We make hundreds of decisions daily, and most of them don't matter. But some truly do. How can you ensure you make good decisions? Here are some tips:

General Decision Making

  • Gather facts. Just relevant ones, and not mere assertions that support your general inclination on the decision.
  • Run the decision past someone who shares your values but doesn't always agree with you.
  • Use some device such as the Franklin Close. This is a device sales people use to help prospective customers decide. Yes, they typically manipulate the customer with this device. But used objectively, it can help you make a good decision. Fold a piece of paper in half. On one side, write down every reason FOR. Flip the paper over and right every reason AGAINST. Then compare the two lists. Obviously, you can improve on this so use the concept but in a better way.
  • Look at all costs and all benefits, not just the ones that are immediately obvious. For example, eliminating processed food from your life means you must incur more time preparing meals. But it also means you save huge amounts of time visiting doctors plus you extend your health span significantly.
  • Make a list of potentially bad outcomes and assign each one both a likelihood factor and a severity factor. Most people underestimate the risk involved.
  • Make a list of potentially good outcomes and assign each one both a likelihood factor and a value factor. Most people overestimate how good the outcome will be.

Physical Support

  • Eliminate processed sugars from your diet. These stick to neurons and then oxidize, shrinking your brain over time.
  • Consistently engage in rigorous exercise. This boosts your brainpower in a multitude of ways.
  • Get enough sleep. A 10% level of sleep deprivation just about wipes out your ability to use good judgment.

Mental Support

  • Don't watch television, read legacy newspapers, or subscribe to newsfeeds. There is a reason these disinformation sources manage to keep people captive, it's called brain rot. Something about these will impair your judgment and that is by design.
  • Avoid BS artists. They can fill your head with nonsense, making it harder for you to deal with reality.
  • Consistently and routinely engage in mental challenges. The more you use your brain to solve tough problems, the smarter you will be. There's not a direct effect on judgment, but your tools for judging correctly will be much better.

Sussing out Scams

  • If you feel a sense of urgency, as in "I'd better jump on this opportunity now" that's a good sign you need to sleep on it and rethink it the next day.
  • Beware of funny math. It is used all the time. It works especially well when used verbally, so get it in writing and then analyze the numbers in a spreadsheet. I don't mean just glance at them. If you do not have this skill, contact a friend who is an engineer and offer that person a $75 fee to do this for you. If that sounds like a lot of money, how much money is this "deal" going to set you back if it's a scam?
  • Convert everything to common units, so that you can compare apples to apples. When some loan shark says 5% interest that sounds good except he means 5% per month; in the case of finance, always annualize the interest rates between options.

Relationship decisions

  • If you are trying to decide whether to argue with another person, ask yourself how much skin you actually have in this game. Is a fight going to be worth it? What do you hope to accomplish, and are you equipped to accomplish it? What are the odds you can argue in a respectful, productive way versus just exchanging angry or inflaming an already irrational person who won't listen to reason anyway?
  • Don't bring up old grievances to settle a new dispute. If the new dispute can't stand on its own merits, it's an error of judgment to pursue it.
  • Some people need to be dropped from your circle. Others, such as family, should never be dropped even if they are very difficult to get along with. Approach both situations with dignity and respect for them and for you.

Integrity

  • Never bring shame on your family by acting with little or no integrity.
  • Recognize that having integrity doesn't mean being a doormat.
  • The other person's level of integrity does not dictate your level of integrity.

Health care decisions

  • Health care is what you do to protect or improve your health. Medical care is what someone else does to you to presumably (but not necessarily) remediate a health problem or injury.
  • So-called health screenings are "after the fact" tests. They often give false positives, leading to detrimental medical treatment.
  • Screen at the input end. What you eat, how rigorously and consistently you train, and how you rest and relax are the real health markers. Be aware of your mistakes and fix them here, rather than waiting until the effects show up on a "health screening".

Purchases

  • Many people engage in impulse buying, and they end up with closets full of stuff they never use. Before buying, ask yourself what exactly you need this for, how you would use it regularly (not "nice to have in case"), and whether it replaces or upgrades something you already have.
  • Do you already have something you can fix, alter, or repurpose to do what this new item would do? For example, why buy a tea maker if you already have a coffee maker?
  • Annualize the cost (see earlier tip). Then determine how many hours per year you would work for this. This enables you to clearly see things such as that fancy latte you pick up on the way to work is a bad decision.

4. Finance tip

Cheaper goods aren't always less expensive. There's a concept called total cost of ownership. And you to, for many types of items, consider ownership over your entire life not just for a few months. That's because you always need that type of item: a car, shoes, a shirt, etc.

When I was in my early 20s, my mom found a real-wood bedroom set at a relocation sale. It was, at the time, a $3,000 set. They couldn't take it with them and were offering it for $1,200. My mom negotiated an even $1,000 and explained to me the economics of this. I called my dad's Uncle Tommie, who had decades of experience selling furniture. He said not to embarrass him, take the deal. So I did. That set moved with me to Louisiana, South Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, back to Ohio, Kentucky, central Tennessee, west-central Tennessee, and finally to Kansas. That's a lot of moving trips. That set is still in good shape today.

My Uncle Tommie always said to buy real wood furniture, sticking with top names like Drexel and Lane. That bedroom set isn't my only furniture purchase. Instead of replacing cheap particle board Ikea crap every few years, I've had the same nice furniture for decades.

It's not just furniture. I have always bought quality tools, and they last a very long time. My clothes, shoes, dinnerware, mowers, etc. all last a long time. The money I save by paying a 25% or even 100% premium is truly astounding.

When I buy a computer, I up the specs to help make it far outlast the normal obsolescence curve. I bought a business laptop eleven years ago, it's still functional and useful today. It won't run Windows 11, but it boots up fast and can handle anything I throw at it. I could have saved $150 back then, and instead bought three more computers in the interim.

This doesn't mean you should opt for the most bells and whistles or plunk down money for the most expensive option. It means that you need to think about the projected longevity of what you are buying. My ex-wife (RIP) used to say. "It makes no sense to pay nine prices for something". If you buy something cheap that soon falls apart, you've wasted a lot more money that if you buy something nice that lasts for years. Years ago, I stopped in at one of those hip discount clothing stores, I think it was Old Navy. I found a nice-looking, albeit thin, tee shirt on sale for about $4. I bought it. When I went to pull it back over my head after my first wearing of it, the shirt tore apart. I took it back and exchanged it for another one. It didn't last long, either. I have other shirts I have worn many times, and they are 25+ years old--but they cost probably $20 instead of $4. The cheap clothes are appealing to people who like to wear something only once, and as you might surmise I consider them to be wasteful morons.

So the $20 range delivers a good value. I could opt for a $60 tee shirt. But what would make it worth three times as much as the $20 one? Nothing. I can buy three $20 shirts for the price of that one, and have three shirts that I can rotate in wearing.

That is the gist of it. Look not for the lowest price, but a good value. Ultimately, the low price has the higher cost of ownership while the good value gives you a fair deal.

5. Security tip

Beware fake surveys. These are used to collect information such as your name, address, and cell number, among other things, which then go into a database from which telescammers can lease potential victim information. These often sound innocuous. For example, I received one allegedly from the "MyLowe's Special Team". It offers a free leaf blower for simply filling out a survey. I did not click the link to the survey, as that would validate my e-mail address to them and possibly open me up to a ransomware attack.

Twelve clues this was not from Lowe's:

  1. Lowe's takes its branding very seriously. The colors did not quite match Lowe's brand messaging colors.
  2. Did I mention that Lowe's takes its branding very seriously? The look of this e-mail is incongruous with the look of www.lowes.com. Not even a Lowe's logo.
  3. Lowe's is a big company. If they send out a message, that message will be from the Lowe's domain, which is lowes.com. This one was from bitteronline.com. That domain is a bit of humor from the fraudsters (as in you will have a bitter experience), and if you do a quick search on scamadviser.com, there they are.

  4. They don't mention my name, which Lowe's has and would certainly use.
  5. A survey company would have its own branding message and introduce itself with something like, "We are qualtronics, a consumer survey company and we are conducting a survey for Lowe's." And they would address me by name.
  6. I shop a lot more at the Home Depot, and have yet to receive a survey like this in over 30 years as a customer. This would be a first for Lowe's, also.

  7. It's enticing because they show estimated time as ~ 1 minute. And for that tiny bit of effort, you can receive a nice leaf blower!
  8. The message has a false green flag. "Since you have shopped at Lowe's". But what homeowner has not? Many apartment dwellers shop there, also. No authentic marketing department would say something like that without addressing you by name and thanking you for your purchase of item X on date Y.
  9. Would you not expect a $10 Lowe's Gift Card so that they get you into the store? That's what any decent marketing department would do, not simply ship you a leaf blower. So there is no leaf blower.

  10. The format is fixed-width, a practice that has been obsolete since before Android 5.0 was released.
  11. As noted, the "from" address says MyLowe's Special Team, but the actual e-mail address is missing the "l" in special. It reads "mylowesspeciateam" at that stupid domain.
  12. Most of the text is about the leaf blower, another clue this isn't from a professional marketing department or survey company.

Twelve clues in one short e-mail. You would think only a card-carrying Democrat would fall for this, after all they fell for the Democrat Party propaganda. And you may be right, as "Democrats" zero in on the prize with no regard to the cost or anything else in the reality zone. The scammers are counting on the recipients to focus exclusively on the prize (the leaf blower) and not notice anything else.

6. Health tip/Fitness tips

Age 65 in these pics

See all of my climbing videos here: https://tinyurl.com/ClimbingSigChannel. Some cool climbing  videos:

My hardest climb ever, a 5.11d on lead: https://youtu.be/UT5h0heUUBc . I made a dumb mistake initially, letting the rope wrap over my shoulder. Watch what happens.

The scale:

  • Beginner: 5.6. 5.7. 5.8, 5.9  (roped) / VV, V0, V1, V2 (boulder)
  • Intermediate: 5.10a, b, c, d ;5.11a, b, c, d  / V3, V4, V5, V6
  • Advanced: 5.12a, b, c, d; 5.13a, b, c, d. / V7, V8, V9, V10.
  • Elite and Pro: Even harder. Almost nobody climbs at either level at any of the 6 local climbing gyms.

People who see me with my shirt off, whether in person or in my fitness photos, notice I am ripped. And they also notice those washboard abs. A frequent question I get is along the lines of what exercise do I do for my abs.

Before I go further, I will say people would not be asking that same question if they saw me with my shirt off in the winter. As cooler weather sets in, I eat more and my weight starts going up. I'm usually about 8lbs heavier by late January, with both a pad of fat and a smallish belly roll. This is not bad for a guy over 40, OK, over 60, but still I share your pain when it comes to midsection "growth".

This also means I am not enjoying some genetic advantage, can't eat whatever I want in whatever quantities I want, etc. So how do I go from pudge belly to ripped abs over the course of spring?

It's not some kind of ab exercise. It's been many years since I have directly worked my abs. Unless your abs are weak (as in you recently awoke from a coma), there is no reason to work them directly. My abs will sometimes hurt after squats, and if you understand proper squatting that will not surprise you. My abs also get worked very hard while I practice on the punching bag and even harder when I am sending one gnarly climbing problem after another during a climbing session.

For the purpose of having showy abs, most people have sufficiently developed ab muscles, even without the extreme sports or the intense weight training sessions. Lack of muscle isn't their problem.

Right, you say, the abs are covered in fat! Well, that is a factor. But there are four others, and while they don't hide your abs they do contribute to a bulging belly. And that bulging belly looks bad even under a shirt. They are:

  1. Stuck poop.
  2. Too much fiber passing at one time.
  3. Excess gas.
  4. Poor posture and thus belly sag.

  1. Unsticking stuck poop. Stop taking any anti-gas products, other than something like Beano is which is an enzyme. Simethicone (in Gas-X and similar products) is actually a detergent, and it will take your motility to about zero. If you have material stuck in your small intestines, your IG valve is inflamed. In that case, stop eating spicy foods for at least a month. Go online and find the IG valve relaxation technique and do that. Double your water intake.

  2. If you try to pass too much fiber at once, you create a slow-moving clog that swells out the intestines. Your first defense is to eat less fiber. A person on a whole food diet (the only good diet) has the downside of getting an awful lot of fiber. You can peel some vegetables and fruits to reduce this, and you can simply eat less. Something that works for me is eat maybe 15% of a planned meal about an hour before mealtime. It sort of gives you seven meals instead of six. You can apply this in many ways, for example if you usually eat a couple of bananas in the afternoon along with meal #4 then have one banana an hour before and one an hour after. This small change reduces the size of the rat the snake is swallowing.

  3. People who switch from a fake food diet to a real food diet often experience voluminous gas. The main reason is they developed a habit of scarfing fake food down instead of chewing it, and that has carried over to real food. Take the time to enjoy a meal, and chew thoroughly.

  4. We all sit. And that is one of the worst things you can do if you desire a flat belly. Carrying a baby to term is also bad for those who want a flat belly, which to me means that moms should get a free pass here. That gentle outward curve is actually pretty sexy, just not on a man. When we sit, we tend to relax those abdominal muscles. Over time, and not a whole lot of time, the muscles, tendons and ligaments elongate. Your only defense here is to consciously pull those abs in. Not every second of the day, but many times per day. You can also wear a girdle or girdle-type device. This one is excellent: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FQV64LHK and it's less than 30 bucks.

So what about the belly fat? Don't go on some crash diet. Just chip around the edges of your portion sizes. If you cut out 300 calories per day, that's about 9,000 calories per month. It adds up over time. So when I start cutting back a little in January, it takes me a few months to shed that excess fat in time for the shirtless warm weather and those photoshoots. I still have to take care of those other things on a regular basis year-round.

Finally, don't focus on abs. Think of your mid-section as a measurement of your fitness rather than an end unto itself. If you are doing what I outlined above, you'll have a strong, attractive mid-section. Going on some stupid diet like the Paleo Diet or the Predator Diet will undermine your fitness and actually set you back. Consistently eating right, training right, and getting adequate rest is the right way. It's the right way for a lot of reasons. If you got off track in one of these areas, get back on track and trust the process. Do not trust crazy diets, doctor-prescribed drugs, surgeries, or other shortcuts.

OK, not finally. I have one more thing to say. Go on YouTube and watch a power lifting event. Those folks are massively strong. None of them have ripped abs. You can bet they have super-strong mid-sections, however. I have a couple of buddies like that, and they are impressive athletes. While I personally prefer the ripped look, it's not for everybody. It does require walking that thin line between getting enough calories and getting too many. For your health and athletic prowess, those four enumerated items regarding a bulging belly are far more important than trying to be at 5% body fat or less. And, of course, being physically strong is paramount. You get that by training in a structured way designed to elicit the adaptive response while also eating in a way that allows your body to use that response.

At www.supplecity.com, you'll find plenty of informative, authoritative articles on maintaining a lean, strong physique. It has nothing to do with long workouts or impossible to maintain diets. In fact:

  • The best workouts are short and intense.
  • A good diet contains far more flavors and satisfaction than the typical American diet.

7. Factoid

The January jobs report showed private payrolls surged by 172,000 jobs, far exceeding forecasts of 70,000. And yet, the communists call this "disastrous". For their election prospects, yeah. But not for America.

8. Thought for the Day

The socialists preached racial division and hatred during the "Obama" years, then the party became outright communist after that. They have been preaching racial division and hatred ever since, then wonder why they have to massively cheat to win an election. The rest of us know, it's pretty obvious.
