1. Good News: Where the Intel is Good

  1. The psychopath socialist known as Mark Zuckerberg lost billions of dollars due to a Facebook shutdown. This, in the midst of a massive walkout by non-socialists (instead of cancel culture, it's "cancel this, you commie"). This glitch is already causing an additional exodus of commercial clients whose systems were, stupidly of them, dependent upon Facebook. The decreased footprint of Facebook is  major gain for election integrity in the USA and around the world.

  2. Facebook released a statement saying no user data were compromised. What this means to any thinking person over the age of eight is user data were compromised. If you use Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Messenger, you are not only supporting someone who is out to impoverish you mentally, socially, and financially, but you have just had your user data compromised. The best solution is to cancel all subscriptions to any of this spyware. Find alternatives that are offered by ethical companies or go without.

  3. Arrogance has its costs, sooner or later. Now Facebook is facing a bipartisan Congressional investigation. That is no small thing, because Congress presently divides itself into two camps: America-last socialists and everyone else. The socialists see everyone else as the enemy. For them to do something with "the other side" is quite amazing. But then, what Facebook has done deserves amazing attention. Read the full story here, and may Mark Zuckerberg and his co-psychopaths rot in prison, penniless: https://www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_breakingnews/facebook-whistleblower-says-congress-must-take-action-against-facebook_4032931.html

  4. Also, let's not forget that the socialist coup-conspirators owe Zuckerberg big-time for the major role he played in putting their pet retard in the White House, covering up the collusion and fraud, and "cancelling" anyone who dares to stand up for truth, integrity, or fairness. Like the hyenas they are, they are turning on him now that they no longer need him. This is what happens when you are a "collaborator" with an occupying invader.

  5. North Carolina recently passed a law that fights child abuse. Read the full story here:
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_breakingnews/north-carolina-county-to-discipline-fire-teachers-who-say-america-and-founders-are-racist_4029554.html

  6. There are certain rules in society, for example you don't follow someone into a restroom to rant at them. The lunatic left long ago stopped pretending to be civilized toward non-believers of their ideology. Since we have grown to simply tune them out or turn their vitriol back on them, they are now attacking Democrats with their obnoxious, rude, and self-centered lack of civility. You've probably heard of the left-of-center Democratic Congresswoman Krysten Sinema. What you may not know is that while the "leaders" of her own party failed to defend her, many Republicans have come forward in her defense. Read the full story here:
    https://americanactionnews.com/politics/2021/10/07/all-the-republicans-defending-krysten-sinema-after-she-was-harassed-by-the-far-left/

Regardless of your political stripe versus who the victim of such abuse is, you should find what happened to Senator Sinema disturbing. But then, regardless of your political stripe you should find what has happened to this country to be disturbing.

  7. More stupidity from California: https://www.blabber.buzz/blab/pop/1031111-libtarded-california-is-now-canceling-colors

  8. The fake "vaccine" has been killing young, healthy people. Especially athletes. There is a medical reason for their higher death rate versus that of non-athletes. The "vaccine" is supposed to be an intra-muscular injection (yeah, for a respiratory virus--as if that makes a lot of sense). This method allows it to slowly diffuse into the system once it's injected. The person giving an intramuscular shot is supposed to hold the muscle between thumb and index finger, between veins so as to not jab a vein. The instructions for giving the fake vaccine explicitly say not to hold the muscle this way. In athletes, the vascular development is extreme compared to that of a non-athlete so without extreme care the injection will be intravascular. With an intravascular injection, there's a reaction that includes fast clotting. Thus, people dropping dead from heart attacks and strokes shortly after being "vaccinated."

There is absolutely no medical reason to "vaccinate" healthy people against Covid since their risk of death from Covid is about 0.000000000000000000000000001%. These same people have a significant risk of adverse reactions, including death, to the "vaccination." Fauci, Biden's handlers, and all the psychopaths pushing the "vax" have to know this. Even Biden, who set the Presidential record for being stupid, knows this. Yet, they are mandating the jab for Seal Teams, fire fighters, police, pilots, and other people whose jobs require an abnormally high level of fitness. Exactly what makes them vulnerable to "death by vax." Death can come on suddenly, too; this is great when it happens to a pilot because you could take out an entire jet full of people that way. Brilliant strategy by the socialists, wouldn't you say?

In game management and stock management, you cull the herd by killing the weak and sick. In socialism, you cull the herd by killing the strong and the healthy.

  9. It is a major ordeal to return a beached humpback whale to the ocean, even with a lot of people helping. So what happens if you have two beached whales? Some Argentineans confronting that very problem managed to get a big backhoe down to the beach. Some nifty work with slings, and they got both whales back in the water. Read the full story here:
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_breakingnews/2-beached-humpback-whales-spotted-on-argentinian-coast-but-rescuers-save-the-day-with-backhoe_4039514.html

  10. NASA never managed to send Bill Shatner into space, despite his outsized influence on the space program. Jeff Bezos took care of this. From the 1440 Digest: "Famed actor William Shatner successfully flew into space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin New Shepard rocket yesterday. Best known for his role as Captain Kirk from the original “Star Trek,” Shatner became the oldest person to reach the edge of space at age 90. The rocket flew an estimated 66 miles (4 miles beyond the Kármán line) above West Texas before safely parachuting back to Earth; the trip lasted just under 11 minutes."

  11. The socialists are cracking down on people who do not want to risk becoming one of the thousands dead or disabled due to taking an unnecessary injection that allegedly is "needed" to "stop Covid". What's needed to stop Covid is for people to stop eating as if it is important to destroy their health. Every few days, I come to a fork in the road. I can turn left and go to Natural Grocers, or turn right and go to Cancer King. I also go to a "mainstream" grocery store, and I see all these physically ill people loading up their carts with "osteoporisis in a can", "colon cancer fuel" (various "food" containing hydrogenated oil), and other poison but not a single fresh fruit or vegetable.

The injection does not stop transmission and cannot make up for the behavior of eating as if it is important to destroy your health. Nobody dies from eating nutrient-dense whole foods to the exclusion of all else, but thousands have already died from this pointless, useless, injection. You can check the death toll for yourself on the VAERS database; it's where all adverse effects are reported. Yes, it's even run by the government not a group of conspiracy theorists: https://vaers.hhs.gov/

Wait, I said the socialists are cracking down. I didn't finish. People are fighting back. They are not letting themselves be bullied. They are taking the job termination or whatever other illegal punishment the socialists and the employers who fear socialists more than they fear killing their own employees. Thousands of nurses, for example. And in San Francisco, a city not known for sanity, they've decided it's a good thing to fire nearly 200 of their first responders. That's a very high number for only one city, but then again this is the city that keeps Nutcase Pelosi in Congress.

3. Brainpower tip

If you've just made your fifth mistake in five minutes, have trouble concentrating, or feel too agitated to think straight, here is a technique I learned while studying Shotokan.

Sit on the floor with your ankles crossed and your back straight rather than slumped. Now hold your hands as if you are holding a (really) big beach ball. Close your eyes and imagine the ball. I always see it in orange, but whatever color you see is fine. You are just holding the ball. Now breathe in slowly through your nose until your lungs are full. Hold for two seconds, and slowly let it out. Repeat several  times. Think of nothing other than that beach ball and your breathing.

This is a mind-clearing exercise. Once your mind is clear, your ability to focus will be greatly heightened from what it was only a few minutes ago. You might try doing this within an hour or so of going to bed, as a sort of mental maintenance.

4. Finance tip

Pumpkin pies are popular during October and November. Perhaps you find consuming the pus from the mammaries of infected cows to be distasteful. I know I do. Pumpkin pies call for either evaporated (half the water boiled out) or condensed (half the water boiled out, and then it's contaminated with HFC or processed cane or beet sugar). Prior to the spring of 2020, you could buy organic evaporated milk for less than two dollars a can and you could get it at many different stores such as Natural Grocers.

But then Amazon bought up the supply somehow and the only place you can get this product is Whole Foods. It's $3.19 a can, and if you try to order it online you have to agree to being bombarded with solicitations by text messaging.

So it seems you can choose to pay a ridiculous price for 12 oz of this pie ingredient (it takes 10 oz for two pies, what a scam on the can size), consume pies that are toxic and disgusting, or forego the pies altogether. But there is another choice. You can buy 128 oz of organic whole milk for a bit less than the cost of two of those 12 oz cans. That's a savings of nearly 10:1, which is nothing to sneeze at.

And you can choose nonhomogenized milk if a store near you carries it. Milk that is not homogenized has the cream (fat) on top. Why? Because those fat particles (lipid chains) are many different shapes and sizes. To homogenize milk, you use heat and/or pressure to break down all the fat particles to the same, small size. Think about what this means. It isn't good. Zapping out the nutrients and then shredding fat particles is hardly an improvement. Basically, they destroy the milk by doing this. And notice earlier, I said evaporated milk has half the water boiled out. This process also degrades the milk. Low heat for a slow evaporation solves this problem.

So you have your 128 oz bottle. You can low-heat it down to 60 oz, giving you the equivalent of 20 cans of evaporated milk. To evaporate it, you use low heat and stir it occasionally. Expect some to stick to the pan. How will you know when you have boiled it down enough? Use a measuring cup to measure out 60 oz of water and pour that into a saucepan. Now, stick the handle of a wooden spoon straight down into the pan. Pull it up and mark the water line with a Sharpie or similar, or if you are concerned about the ink then cut a notch at that point. As the milk evaporates, you can gage how much is left to evaporate off and also when it's time to stop just by sticking that handle in and looking where the milk is in relation to your line.

You will need containers to hold this evaporated milk; they must be glass and they must have tight-sealing lids. Not just one, because you will need to freeze most of it. For many people, this means an investment in containers you're going to use once a year. You can save money here by evaporating only what you need for your pies and using the rest elsewhere, perhaps for a protein drink or in cookies (sugar-free and no wheat, of course). Some people drink cow's milk; I don't, I use it exclusively to bake pies because it is the only thing that works for that purpose. A cat or dog might enjoy lapping up some milk, too. For me personally, a gallon is far more than I can use in a reasonable time, so I will look for the smallest container at the store.

If you must buy storage containers, you won't save money that first year unless you bake quite a few pies. But you will save money every year after that.

Much of my pie is "home made". Check out this list:

  • No premade crust, because those contain several toxic ingredients. I make my own, using oat and garbonzo flour. I add stevia, a bit of cocoa powder, some vegan protein powder, and organic butter.
  • No premade baking powder, because damaging my brain with aluminum is not on my bucket list. I make my own with 2 parts cream of tartar (I buy the organic version in bulk at Natural Grocers, getting 5X as much as is in the little jar at the "mainstream" grocery store.
  • Some of my spices are ones I grind in my kitchen. I buy the whole berries for allspice, for example.
  • No "pumpkin pie spice" mix. First of all, they probably have silica on that mix. Second, the ratios are wrong and produce a "flat" taste. If you take the standard recipe and go a little heavier on the ginger while doubling the cloves, the flavor is greatly improved. I also add cocoa powder and then enough turmeric to offset the darkening created by the cocoa.

I don't make my own pumpkin filling. It's just too much work. I buy the organic pumpkin in the can. I never buy "pie filling" unless by mistake. It has HFC and other contaminants in it. On the rare occasion I get this home and open the can, I dump it all down the drain as it is not suitable for human consumption. We have to wear masks "to be safe" but unethical companies are allowed to peddle this stuff? It's shameful.

If you don't bake pies and the whole evaporated milk thing is a yawner for you, think about the principle involved. You can apply it in other areas for significant savings and much better control of your food's nutritional content and non-toxicity.

"Eat well to live long" does not have to be as expensive as many people believe.

5. Security tip

Thanks to the (anti)Patriot Act, the 4th Amendment is frequently violated. Any "investigator" (IRS auditor, FBI agent, etc.) working for a federal agency can have your phone tapped. If you need to have a private call with your attorney or other party, buy a prepaid phone card. Just make sure you buy it from a reputable, in-person retail outlet. Many of these that are sold online do not work.

If you combine the card with a cheap, "throwaway" SIM or cheap, "throwaway" cell phone, you get even more protection. If you use a throwaway SIM, you can use it to make only outgoing calls. Use the phone only for discreet calls, and don't give out the number (especially don't enter it into a form online). Optionally, you can use the throwaway SIM to have that discreet call.

Note that when doing either approach, neither Caller ID nor 911 will work properly. But at least you will have your privacy.

Lose weight, be strong, burn fat, gain muscle
See my climbing videos here: https://tinyurl.com/ClimbingSigChannel

I saw in my inbox a link to an article titled, "How long should you rest between workouts?" I did not click through, because I suspected the question was based on the assumption you do something other than a split routine. If you have structured a five or six day/week training schedule with each day devoted to a different workout, then the proper rest period is built in.

My schedule looks like this:

  • Sunday. Upper body A, B, or C.
  • Monday. Legs A or Legs B.
  • Tuesday. Upper body A, B, or C.
  • Wednesday. Abs.
  • Thursday. Upper body A, B, or C.
  • Friday. Rest day.
  • Saturday. Upper body A, B, or C.

The ABCs

Now the confusing part about what I just showed you is "Upper body A, B, or C." What does this mean?

In 1996, I changed from the "whole body workout" method to the split routine method. I found I could really ratchet up the intensity for a given muscle group and it would have many days to rest before the next time I hit it. Sandy Miller, a local trainer, introduced me to this method and created for me a schedule to make it work. So there are three different upper body workouts. But you will notice there are four slots per week.

Let's say I start with A (Back and biceps) on Sunday. That means Tuesday is B (Chest and triceps) and Thursday is C (Shoulders). Can you guess what comes on Saturday? Yes, that would be the next one in sequence, so I'm doing A on Saturday unlike in the previous week. Look at how many days of rest I gave my back and biceps. While I will also use my back and my biceps a bit in the other two upper body workouts, I'm not pushing those muscles anywhere near their limits when doing any other workout. They have time to recover before I hit them again.

Recovery

You have only enough energy in any given session to perform enough work to stimulate the adaptive response. By scheduling these in a sequence or rotation, the necessary recovery time is built in. You don't get up and decide you are too sore today to do your workout. You get up and do your workout, because you have already recovered from this one because you did it several days ago.

T-Max

You can do a suboptimal "whole body workout" that only barely triggers a mild adaptive response (consider it 10% return on the time investment) or you can target one set of muscles each time to get the full adaptive response (100% return on investment).

So you train every day, except for one or two rest days (one is better). With this method, each day you are getting a big testosterone boost and the rest of the adaptive response. This also speeds up your recovery so that you are ready to nail it yet again when this next workout comes around.

Legs

What's up with two leg workouts? A is upper legs (quads, hamstrings, adductors, abductors) and B is lower legs (calves and shins). I found that split allowed me to do a "crazy" amount of various squats and have two weeks to recover without giving my calves short shrift in the same workout.

An interesting note on those upper leg workouts is they are on Monday, the day after climbing. Many people believe climbing is an upper body sport. But check out these videos, all of the same problem, and see which muscles these three different climbers are actually using: Brett ( https://youtu.be/pFUDTQy34Kg), Lee (https://youtu.be/dtq77pcw2y0), and Me ( https://youtu.be/zgMr7a3SH4E).

At www.supplecity.com, you'll find plenty of informative, authoritative articles on maintaining a lean, strong physique. It has nothing to do with long workouts or impossible to maintain diets. In fact:
  • The best workouts are short and intense.
  • A good diet contains far more flavors and satisfaction than the typical American diet.

7. Factoid

Date formats vary by country, region, and organization. If you write the date as 4/11/01, that can mean:
  • November 4th, 2001
  • November 1st, 2004
  • October 1st, 2004
  • October 4, 2001
  • January 11, 2004

The way to make it clear which date you mean is to use the ddMMMyyyy format. So if we write 04NOV2001 there is no doubt what we mean and no confusion about the date.

When entering the date in a database or spreadsheet, you might have this human-based method in the UI. But in the code, it's going to be either yyyy-mm-dd or it's going to be that long string of digits that is actually the count of days since Day zero of the calendar.

And this is just for the locales that use the Gregorian calendar. There are many other calendars in use around the world. Arabic and Israeli cultures/countries have their own calendars; these do not start on 01JAN and they do not begin at 00 AD.

8. Thought for the Day

Socialism is based on the idea that theft and violence are good solutions for those who are too lazy to provide value to others.
