1. Good News
Item 1. The Institute of Reprobates and Sociopaths still refers to its
victims as "customers." What a laugh. The good news is their public relations
manager, Nina Olsen, of the laughably named "Taxpayer Advocate Office" publicly
admits the Institute does a poor job of "helping" its victims. Read the full
joke here:
https://www.responseaction.com/Article/irs-and-its-customer-service-problems
Item 2. Leftwing extremists have taken Trump Derangement Syndrome (that
is what psychologists are calling it) to such an extreme that all but the most
brainwashed of their followers are starting to question the leftist ideology.
It's always good news when people begin to wake up and go into "brain on" mode.
Now with the fake election coming up and nothing but nonsense coming from the
Democratic Party candidates, disillusioned rank and file Democrats are seeking another way. It
would be fantastic news if they found "voting in the affirmative for the rule of
law" (voting Libertarian) to be the way they settle on.
Morpheus would be so proud to see so many people taking the red pill these
days. Let's hope the trend gains momentum.

3. Brainpower tip
People obsess over political "news" and it's a complete brain polluter. Don't do
it. You get bull crap on the left and horse hockey on the right, and there you
are in the middle. All of this spewing of nonsense, lies, propaganda, and
other idiocy is merely a blue pill delivery system. I'm a red pill kind of guy,
so I stay away from the blue pill pharmacies that masquerade as "news" sources.
If you're not familiar with the blue pill / red pill terminology, watch this
video clip: https://youtu.be/zE7PKRjrid4.
Or, you can use this little memory jogger: red pill = reality, blue pill =
blissful ignorance.
Rather than allow low-integrity people to fill your mind with mental waste
products, turn off those newsfeeds, newspapers, antisocial media news
commentaries, newspapers, and similarly mislabeled sources of manipulative
fiction. Use the time saved from that self-injuring activity to invest in
actually learning facts and figures.
Sources include quality magazines, audio books, paper books, college courses
(audited or credit), webinars, seminars, association magazines, trade shows,
trade journals, professional journals, hobbyist newsletters, museums, monuments,
facility tours, historic sites, organization events (e.g., local chapter dinners
that feature a speaker), and even interning somewhere. As you can see, there are
many sources of information you can use to build a big knowledge base. And that
big knowledge base makes you smarter.
So are you going to build that big knowledge base, or waste the opportunity
by instead using the time to fill your mind with mental waste products? Many
people mistakenly believe the mental waste product choice is correct, because
that enables them to "talk with people and know what's going on." But this is a
non-sequitor because consumers of mental waste products don't know what's going
on. They are merely spewing mental waste at each other, while in the mental
waste blender. They end up knowing less than when they started!
Keep your mental diet clean. Staying away from the mudstream / lamestream /
mental sewage pipeline is your first line of defense. |
4. Finance tip
Remember the "jobless recovery" under ersatz POTUS Barry Soetoro (illegal alias,
Barrack Hussein Obama)? Academics were wringing their hands trying to figure out
why it was jobless. The reason is very simple. It wasn't a recovery. Soetoro's
relentless attacks on the economy did horrendous damage. This graphic shows
the kind of "recovery" his policies brought us:
http://i2.wp.com/republicbroadcasting.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Image-2.jpg
How is this information a finance tip for you? The same damaging policies are
still being pushed by people who either don't understand basic math or who
actually hate this country. Soeotoro took many actions to undermine the economy,
and he succeeded in "fundamentally changing America" (obviously, not for the
better). Somehow, he sold millions of Americans on the concept that you can
raise the level of a water tank by opening its drain valve and punching holes in
its sides. You need to be one of those Americans who helps others see reality.
If the economy attackers don't enjoy wide public support, there will be less
wrecking of the economy.
Now in this era of Trump Derangement Syndrome, lunatics are calling for his
impeachment even though since he took office we have seen economic indicators go
up, up, up. Yes, the debt is still increasing and that is a problem. But even
with that, we have seen astounding growth in jobs and an actual recovery. The
difference is Trump, though bumbling with things like his "trade war"
isn't actively seeking to undermine the economy. We suffered eight long years of
a withering attack on our economy, and the numbers show that very clearly. Look
at the graphic again. |
5. Security tip
Arguably, the lamestream
media (aka, "mainstream media") are the single biggest threat to your
security today. But it's a pretty strong argument.
Think about how they pump
out disinformation to protect and support the corrupt ruling class. They
have turned fictional constructs such as "race" into huge social issues,
fomenting hate and division among people who should be united.
Think about how the people
who write their newspaper articles, television new reports, social media
posts, etc., see everything through a far leftwing, statist lens and
associate almost exclusively with similarly brainwashed delusionals. They
toss around words like "diversity" but are intolerant of anyone whose views
align with reality or in some other way conflict with their own.
Think about how they try
to manipulate our language so they can manipulate us. Nonsense like the
dozens of racial labels that tell us nothing about the labeled person's
character, views, competence, or personality.
The more any rational
person thinks about the lamestream media, the more disgusted said rational
person becomes. And the more that person thinks about it, the more that
person realizes how dangerous the lamestream media are.
The solution for each
person is to eliminate the lamestream media from your life. But what about
the larger society around us? We can all help there. Let other people know
that they aren't becoming "informed" by subjecting their brains to the
propaganda, they are being manipulated. Point out the contradictions and
illogic, and ask them how filling your mind with such garbage can somehow be
helpful. |

6. Health tip/Fitness tips

of the moment" and other unsustainable, unproductive ways of looking at
health and fitness. Article appears below. See

The typical back and biceps workout consists of some lat pulldowns and a
couple different types of biceps curls.
Assuming 3 sets of 10 reps, that's:
30 reps of back 60 reps of biceps
I do 3 different kinds of lat pulldowns, plus I do pullups, chinups, and
bentover rows for my back. I do only two sets of ten reps on the chinning
bar, because I am still recovering from an elbow injury and don't want to
push it. I do 4 sets of 12 reps for everything else.
Total rep count for back: 4x12 = 60, plus 20 = 80.
For biceps, I do four types of curls (1 mid-range, 2 full contraction, 1
full extension). The mid-range gets 4 sets, the others get 2 sets. That
works out to the same 60 reps as the typical gym rat does, but the typical
gym rat does them all in the same range of motion which means minimal
tension through 25% to 30% of what the biceps are capable of while mine hits
full tension 100%.
The typical ratio of back to biceps work is 1:2. Mine is 4:3. Why would I
make that choice?
There's something to be said for the aesthetics of a back that is,
proportionate to the rest of your body, wide, thick, and powerful. It gives
you presence, even when people are in front of you. When I'm sending a V5 or
V6 that requires powerful core tension and my shirt is off, female climbers
aren't there to watch my feet.
But more importantly, a strong back gives you an athletic edge to perform
at you peak. Just look at Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, or any other world
class athlete. You do see nice arms, but their backs are totally impressive.
Rather than neglect your back training (the typical approach), emphasize
it. Back training is exhausting and difficult, which is one reason people
typically avoid it. But do you want to be typical or do you want to be the
one whom other people secretly (and sometimes not secretly) wish they were
like? |

7. Factoid
Nancy "Nutcase" Pelosi so fears for the safety of rapists, muggers, serial
killers, spree killers, and other violent criminals that she wants them to be
armed while simultaneously demanding that law-abiding citizens be disarmed. Of
course she doesn't want to disarm her personal security guards. |
8. Thought for the Day
When people like Nancy "Nutcase" Pelosi are allowed to be
in positions of power instead of being safely locked up for the psychiatric care
they so desperately need, we are all in unnecessarily greater danger. |
