1. Brainpower tip
When you were a kid, you probably thought your parents were all-knowing and
all-powerful.But as you got older, you realized your parents weren't so all-knowing and
all-powerful. When your dad got laid off or your mom had to take you to the
doctor because she couldn't make you better, you started to realize that you
might be as smart as they are. When you were a teen, you were firmly
convinced you were a lot smarter than they are (unless you weren't a typical
teen). In school, you were expected to sit down, be quiet, and do
what you're told. Same thing in the workplace. Those in authority were
right. People in those positions must be smart. Smarter than you, anyhow.
Unfortunately, while we eventually realized our parents didn't know
everything, few of us come to any such realization about authority figures.
Most of us still think the CEO is the smartest guy in the company. The boss
must be pretty smart to be the boss. Essentially, we're back in that
childhood viewpoint of seeing someone in authority as smarter than we are.
Even if we intellectually understand this is not so, in our subconscious
many of us believe it.
Do you doubt this? When's the last time on the job that you came up with
a great idea that wasn't related directly to an assignment from your boss?
When's the last time your company's management struck you as particularly
brilliant and forward-thinking? Unless you work for Apple, it's probably
sometime between "never" and "I can't remember."
Most of us are conditioned to show up, put in our time, and complete our
assigned duties. We focus our brainpower on the mundane. Are you selling
yourself short that way?
Oh, but maybe you don't have the experience your boss does. The
education. The resources. The whatever. Well, that should not hold you back.
You have everything you need to make your unique contribution. To stand out
from the cubicle dwellers around you. What your boss has that you don't have
is irrelevant, whether real or perceived.
Your boss isn't thinking strategically or coming up with new, great ideas
(unless you have a very unusual boss). Chances are good that nobody in your
company is doing this. Everyone is focusing on grinding out the work,
getting done so they can go home.
It is seldom true that the person who runs things is the smartest one
in the room. It is usually true that everyone else in the room is
self-intimidated into underutilizing their smarts.
So, impress your boss by overcoming that intimidation and presenting
ideas that can help your department or company do better. Better yet,
impress someone who reports directly to the CEO (you will have to create an
opportunity for being heard and for this person to want to listen--a hard
sell will backfire, so don't do that).
You still need to respect authority, of course. Taking an attitude that
only you have a solution will not work. Instead, take an attitude that you
can help solve real problems. Present things in a deferential fashion, if
you must. The key is to save the deference for the presentation rather than
the thinking.

2. Finance tip
I need to clear up a common
misconception, before getting to the main thrust of this short article.
When people refer to "the debt," they are typically referring only to that
portion of it that exists in the form of US Treasury bonds.
Since most of those bonds are held by Mexican and Chinese
peasants, there would be no repercussions to the USG for simply
declaring those bonds worthless--in other words, repudiating
them.
However, that $14 trillion is only a small part of the total debt. The
total exceeds $200 trillion. The remainder hasn't been foisted
onto any hapless third parties. We are just floating that part
of the debt. I haven't though about how repudiation would work,
but it seems that repudiation of that far larger portion of our debt would be catastrophic.
This debt is so threatening (and so brazenly immoral) that the USG doesn't
have any centralized accounting for it. There's not a balance
sheet showing USG assets and liabilities. In other words, it's
hidden from sight and the USG simply lies about it.
Now, on to the main thrust.
I often come across a reality-challenged opinion that our staggering
national debt exists because taxpayers demand services. In case you come
across someone who:
- Votes.
- Holds this opinion,
...here are three talking points by which you might dislodge one more
enabler of the vast enterprise known as "the federal government" (which
does very little governing, but does a great job of being a tool by
which criminals steal).
- With few exceptions, the services we receive from the federal
govt are akin to stud services. And we are not the stud.
- The national debt is now more than 3 times the GDP of all
nations combined. As all debts have carrying costs, the ongoing
economic depression has an obvious cause. When you know the cause,
you can "solve for X" and maybe get rid of the problem. Working on
any solution not related to the cause will not solve the problem.
- Civilized countries (those which have an actual government, by
which I mean a legitimate one that operates by laws rather than by
purchasing political appointees, "elected" officials, bureaucrats,
judges, etc.) have a full plate of social services but little or no
debt. Either they are hundreds of times more intelligent than all
Americans, or we just have a corrupt system in place here.
So, why do people repeat the falsehood that our debt slavery is
somehow the fault of the taxpayers whose misrepresentatives in CONgress
keep transferring taxpayer wages to the employers of members of CONgress?
I say it's the incessant brainwashing done by the state-run media and
other tools of the thieves who have members of CONgress on their payroll. Possibly,
there is another explanation but this seems the most likely to me.
It seems to me that the only realistically viable way to stop the
stealing is one brainwashee at a time. Let's get to it! When someone
lays this "the victim deserved it" trip on you, set that person
straight.
Don't let people tell you:
- It's your fault that the USA has this staggering debt, by
"demanding govt services" that simply do not exist.
- Somehow, the people allegedly "elected" to office can't make
simple choices and prioritize spending so the nation can live within
its means.
- People who go to work every day also believe there's such a
thing as a free lunch (i.e., something for nothing or money grows on
trees)..
Destroying the three idiotic points above:
- How many citizens are demanding that the federal govt burn $21
million an hour on the Pentagon Acquisition Program, which results
in almost 100% wasted funding (only 5% of the money results in
fieldable weapons, and the "able" is almost never "ed"--most of those are unnecessary and never get
used)?
- Many single mothers budget limited funding every day for their own
households, so we know proper financial management can be done.
-
If American workers thought money grows on trees, why would they put
in 60+ hours a week while their European counterparts work half as
many hours? And surveys show that most Americans hate their jobs,
going to work only for the money to pay their bills. Would they do
that if everything cost nothing?
The simple truth is the massive debt exists because of stealing.
It has nothing to do with "services," as most of us are lucky if we
get back a penny on the dollar (many get back a negative return on their
taxes; just ask the family that lost a son to some pointless war that is
making employers of members of CONgress rich).
Your major costs exist purely as a consequence of this stealing.
While you can't immediately fix the problem, you can be part of
eventually solving it. The alternative is to let things get worse by
allowing others to perpetuate the fraud.
Fact: Most of what the federal government does is statutorily banned
by the Constitution (see the 10th Amendment). That is, it's illegal.
Thus, most of what the government calls "services" are actually crimes.
Law and order are obviously foreign concepts to a government that
refuses to govern itself or follow its own laws. So it is not your fault that CONgress is, de
facto, a criminal enterprise. It's the fault of those who occupy seats
in CONgress and make it that way.
It's your money that's being stolen. The truth may not set you free,
but it may help stop the stealing. It will also help if you explain to
others why it's important to refuse to vote Demopublican (see the above
discussion, and "why" becomes self-evident). |
3. Security tip
The average response time of a 911 call is over 3 minutes. The response
time of a .44 Magnum is 1400 feet per second. |

4. Health tip/Fitness tips
Did you know that most of the vitamins Americans buy come from China? While
China is well-noted for carrying huge amounts of our staggering national debt
(and thus being our landlords), it is not well-noted for quality control. This
means that most folks taking vitamins actually have no idea what they are
putting into their bodies. Could be dog entrails.
This is not the case with
Nitro VM. It's made right here in the good old US of A.
And while you won't find dog entrails in VM's formulation, you will find
antioxidants and lots of other good stuff.
With this foundational nutrition, you get such benefits as:
- Healthy skin.
- Foundational nutrition needs met.
- Protection from diseases stemming from nutritional deficiencies.
- Provides basis for other supplements to function properly.

Shortly after turning 50.

You could find out more about Nitro VM by clicking the picture at right and
reading. Or, you could stop wasting time and just buy it! Your dog will
thank you. And if you don't have a dog, the one down the street will. OK,
maybe the dogs don't care, because they are far away from China. But your
body will care, and you will probably notice a significant difference within
a few days.

articles on maintaining a lean, strong physique. It has nothing to
do with long workouts or impossible to maintain diets. In fact:
- The best workouts are short and intense.
- A good diet contains far more flavors and satisfaction
than the typical American diet.

5. Factoid
In 1796, Napoleon was only 26 years old when he took command of the
French Army of Italy. Today, the national debt is so large that today's
26 year old American has no hope of ever being free of it. But anyone
entering the workforce today can look forward to a lifetime of servicing
that debt through long hours, high taxes, and inflation. However, there
is hope for change. To start ending the madness, vote Libertarian. |

7. Thought for the Day
Nobody really knows what causes otherwise people to stray into the dark
side and become agents of evil. But we do know that good examples and
encouraging words can help people make good decisions. Take care in how
you act and speak that you are helping others walk the right path
instead of, for example, joining the IRS. |
